SHHHHH! Do you hear that sound? It's the sound of the other NCAA coaches realizing the monster Jimbo is putting together in Tallahassee.
Recruiting- FSU will be competing for a number one class this year in recruiting. With some help from some key and also top recruits some names are TE Nick O' Leary and Tony Steward who is a LB. Currently the Noles are number 3 in this class. FSU has 9 early enrolles and a total of 22 commitments/signees. Of those 9 we have 2 JUCO, a DE Cornellius Carridine and OL Jacob Fahrenkrug. We have a handful of lineman on both sides of the ball, offense and defense. We have one RB commited and the other signed, Eric Beverly who tore his ACL and Devonta Freeman. This is the thing, Freeman is now signed and Eddie Gran the RB coach and Special Teams cooridinator knows talent. Freeman was and I repeat WAS a two star but after awhile I guess scout and rivals.com figured out that this guy is good because now he is a 4 star including 300+ yards games in the state semi's and Championship games. We do have a QB commited, Jacob Coker a 3 star. And if you guys remember CP7 and Rodney Hudson were both 3 stars. I remember that '06 class when I was just a little 7 year old. I know what you're thinking yes I am a 12 year old I'll repeat I am a 12 year old so please post comments on how I am doing because this is my first fanpost. Also, Athlete James Wilder Jr. I have heard was to play RB so that could be a plus along with Beverly and Freeman and if you throw in Chris Thompson, Ty Jones, and even Lonnie Pryor in the mix we will be fine in years to come. We have one Wide Reciever committed, Rashad Greene a 4 star who assuming he stays with us until February might or might not be redshirted and Christian Green signed last year and was redshirted and also Greg Dent and Jared Haggins was played little and not redshirted i did see them on ST (special teams). We have many DB commited one even signed, Nick Waisome who signed just days after he de-commited from Florida. We have only one LB but that could change by signing day. I don't know about you but it kills me on signing day because I don't see who signed until when I home from school. And the kids in my grade don't even grasp the concept of recruiting so it's pointless to even try to explain. Then you toss in cocky Gator fans in my grade who say how bad FSU is or the reason why we beat Florida. I had one kid come up to me and say "Wait untill you face Jordan Reed." Yeah I saw him alright. I don't mean to brag but didn't we give him a concussion?
End of Season- FSU finished 10-4 for the first time since 2003. Including an impressive victory over South Carolina. Where never at one point were we losing the game. It went 3-0, 6-0, 13-0, 13-3, halftime,16-3,16-10, 19-10, 19-17,then finally 26-17. Not to mention, that we could have scored at the end of the game. And also we
could have should have been 12-2 we had Beau Reliford WIDE OPEN in the end zone until Ponder fumbled by a fake cut too close by Ty Jones. And the next game Dustin Hopkins missed a field goal to lose at home to UNC. I was at the Clemson game where Hopkins got his redemption to kick a field goal that I swear would have been good from 65 but it was for 55. Remember to comment on my first fan post. GO NOLES!
