Yes. The entire class is.
UM is going to get banhammered and we are going to fill our slots with the 2 star kids that they can’t offer scholarships to. And we will grab some walk ons and fill out the team ;)

Pretty sure those 2 star kids and walk ons could do better than the pathetic team we have now...
FSU, home of the Bandit! Enough said!
that video
Was actually on the verge of being annoying to watch.
But he looks like he is being blocked by someone about 160 lbs on the O line.

Look at the explosion, speed and change of direction
He is in the backfield before the QB gets the ball, runs like a deer and has one of the best first steps I’ve seen this year.

I agree. But it was a bit tough to tell
Just because of the angle and it really looked like he was being blocked by someone about 6 foot 200 lbs on Oline. And on a bunch they blew the whistle. But he looked like a man among boys on the actual plays. But it was just tough to get a good impression because of who I saw line up across from him. I have seen the speed and quick step in a few of his game videos though for sure

Hard to judge his strength because of the OL he is going against but you can still judge his speed/acceleration/first step etc.

Oh he was definitly in the backfeild at the same time the QB was getting the ball it seemed

Talking about a guy who timed speed(I believe he plays to this speed) is faster then Telvin Smith, James Wilder, Tony Steward etc and Fowler is a DE

Of course speed matters.
But I would be more curious his comparison in some other drills. the 3 cone or whatever its called. He is quick as well as fast. But not sure how often his true speed would matter except in instances of trying to catch someone from behind. But he certainly has a quick first step and I think thats even more important that whatever his full speed is.
That 3 cone drill whatever its called I think might be a better comparison for his position

20 yard shuttle is more important for quickness/3 cone is good to tell a prospects hips(CB/DBs)
Fowler had a 4.48 shuttle to go along with his 4.65 electronic 40 this spring.

talking back to coaches
And I guess an insubordination type deal with the coaches.
Don’t quote me on this but I think it had something do with moving him to DT or something at time.
But I know the original suspension was from arguing with the coach. He apologized in a tweet if I recall and not sure if it was originally one game and became indefinite or was indefinite from the beginning

Yep
Was upset because he wants to work at what he will do in college, which is DE, while his coaches feel he helps the team best as a DT because he is so disruptive.
Can’t blame a guy for thinking about his future, but also can’t blame the coaches for thinking about the present…

If you talk to Mr Fowler
He has got an ego to feed, I believe what caused the disagreement with his coach. I’m not worried if he decommits, we have enough yellow flag getters now, his talent could be elite though.

Hmmm, an article someone posted on here actually stated the opposite.
Basically said the whole situation came out of nowhere and was not a true reflection of his character up to that point.
Feel a bit better about him as a prospect
He has all the tools athletically but in his Jr film played with very little technique and discipline, and had no idea how to use his hands to keep linemen out of his frame. He’s so fast it didn’t matter but there will be a time that it will. I still like Jordan Jenkins better as a prospect due to the fact Jenkins is better from a technical standpoint while possessing just as much if not more athleticism.
All that being said I value Fowler more as recruit than I do Edwards. I’m not really concerned with Fowler’s 40 time. But his first step quickness seems to have gotten even better and he plays with a real “eff you” type mean streak. I still think he has a fair amount of bust potential due to the technique issues. But his ceiling is sky high. Kid will be a monster if his talent can be harnessed properly

Florida is the top school trying to get him from what I've seen
They’ve tried everything to get him since Friday Night Lights. His Dad says he is a 100% Nole but if we lose another game he may just head to Alachua Tech.

Saw something tonight that UF LB recruit Powell is working on him HARD
Imagine that’s normal activity though for kids from the same area

Obviously those feeling that we’ll lose kids based on coaching haven’t really watched our DE’s this year. If there’s one coach on this staff (aside from Dawsey who has his kids playing well this year IMO) that is doing work it’s Elliott the DE coach. Our DE’s are friggin’ lightyears ahead of where they were a scant couple seasons ago.
