With EJ Manuel’s injury against Oklahoma, redshirt freshman Clint Trickett was forced to start the next 2 games. It was widely assumed that the defense would be able to carry the team to victory. Untimely penalties and lack of discipline led to Mark Stoops’ unit giving up 35 points in back to back games; both Seminoles losses.
