I will have a breakdown of the 2012/2013 FSU targets to watch for in each game.

7 p.m. Class 1A — Chipley vs. Jefferson County (Monticello)
These teams play in lowest classification in Florida. Not that much talent in this game.

Chipley- The man to watch for Chipley HS is OT Cole Western, who is a little bit of a sleeper for the 2013 class. He has pretty good size at 6'4 270lbs. He is a D-1 player in my mind.
Junior Highlights here

Jefferson County- From what I have seen Jefferson County has no D-1 players for the 2013 class.

Saturday, Dec. 10:

1 p.m. Class 3A — American Heritage (Delray Beach) vs. Madison County (Madison)

American Heritage-
FSU targets:
#4 2013 RB Greg Bryant- The top 2013 RB in Florida, Greg Bryant will be playing in this game. Bryant already claims offers from top schools like Alabama, LSU, FSU, and Oklahoma. FSU visited him last week. Great size, feet, power, agility and good not great speed is what Bryant offers at RB. He is a coaches son who knows the game very well. Bryant has very impressive stats on the year. He's rushed for 1,933 yards (averaging 11.6 yards per carry) and 22 touchdown
Junior Highlights of Greg Bryant: Here

#55 2013 OT Roderick Johnson- Sleeper alert. While Johnson is not rated by any services, this is a guy who has the potential to be a top 30 player in Florida this time next year. He is 6'4 280lbs and has great feet for the tackle position. Johnson also claims a 4.87 40 while this probably isn't accurate, it's easy to see he is a great athlete for a big man. A BCS recruit who will see a lot of offers come his way this spring.
Junior Highlights of Johnson: Here

Not FSU targets, but talented players:

#80 2013 TE Tyler Provo- Already has a BCS offer from Syracuse. A little undersized at 6-2 220lbs. BCS type player
Highlights of Provo: Here

#8 2012 WR Cameron Posey- Has a couple BCS offer(Illinois, Purdue). Good sized WR that doesn't have great speed.

2013 ATH Marcus Davis- No offers yet. Good athlete, but is undersized. Player to watch going forward.

2014 WR Darrell Langham - Good sized WR at 6'3 185lbs who has some potential. Player to watch being only a Sophomore

Madison County

2013 ATH Tommie Young- Good sized RB at 6'1 210lbs that could project at another position(FB/LB) at the next level. I have only seen a little of Young play this year so I'm interested to watch a full game.
Highlights of Young: here

2014 RB Deonshay Wells- Probably the best prospect on their team from what I have seen. While undersized he is still only a Sophomore. Probably a BCS type player once he adds more size. Plays for same HS as FSU RB Chris Thompson
Highlights of Wells here

7 p.m. Class 4A — Booker T. Washington (Miami) vs. Bolles (Jacksonville)

Booker T. Washington
FSU targets

#6 2013 LB Matthew Thomas - A top 20 player in Florida for 2013. This is a 6'3 210lb prospect who can run(sub 4.6 40). Athletically he reminds me of FSU LB commit Markuss Eligwe. Big time prospect who has multiple BCS offers already. On the year Thomas has 98 tackles with 13 sacks.
Highlights of Thomas here
More highlights of Thomas here
#72 2013 OT Denver Kirkland- Another top 30 prospect in Florida for 2013. Has multiple BCS offers. Athletic OT prospect with good feet. Kirkland has been a part of the offensive line since his freshman year and has good size
Sophomore Highlight of Kirkland: Here

Other top players

#5 2014 ATH Treon Harris- Son of coach Tim "Ice" Harris(UM grad). Sophomore who will need to add more weight to be a BCS recruit. Harris on the year rushed for 868 yard with 18 TD's, while adding 1,400 yard and 14 TD"s passing.

#1 2014 WR Lamar Parker- This undersized Sophomore WR has been getting it done since his freshman year. Very shifty, with good speed. If he can gain some height/weight has a good chance to be a BCS recruit by his senior year. Stats on the year 30 catches for 467 yards and 5 TD's.
Freshman Highlights: Here

#30 2013 S Michael Johnson- A little undersized but shows good hips/speed on film. This game will be a good test to see if he is a D-1 player or BCS. Has 4 interceptions on the year

#2 2013 CB Darren Parker- Parker didn't progress as much this year as I would have hoped hope for. 5'10 CB with good hips. Has some potential. Sophomore highlight here

Booker T has a great 2014 class to watch out for in this game.

Bolles

2014 ATH Dexter Carter, Jr- Yes, the son of FSU RB Dexter Carter. He has very good speed for only being a Sophomore. Needs to adds some size, but from a athletic standpoint has the potential to be a BCS recruit.

2012 OT John Theus- UGA commit and top 2 player in Florida for 2012. Not much needs to be said about this great player.

2012 OT Jon Heck- UNC commit. Big fan of this massive OT prospect.

Let's Go Bulldogs! Bring it back to Duval County fellas!

Let’s paint another one on the wall Coach Rogers!

Body, mind and spirit all need exercise. It'll take more than a day for your weaknesses to be revealed from the lack thereof but as time passes by the lack of strength will become more obvious!

Hard to say since he is only a Sophomore

Depends how much he grows/adds weight in 3 years. Has very good speed for only a Sophomore.. Carter plays behind a good senior RB in DJ Stewart and a very good OL(2 BCS OT)

Could you explain why it would be "awkward"?

Did Dexter Carter and FSU have a falling out of some sort?

Kid is a beast

And assuming his football iq is high since his father is a coach. Excited to see him play.

Any indication on who is leading? Who was first to offer?

UF and Georgia are in the lead at the moment. Still a very long way to go in his recruitment. I’m not sure who was his first offer.

He said recently

that Oklahoma leads (About two weeks after they initially offered). UF has slowed played him all year. He’d be a gator already if they would have accepted his commitment late summer/early fall

Thats too bad

Seems like a long shot.

Who else are we going after at RB for 2013?

by numberonenole on Dec 10, 2011 4:49 PM EST via mobile up reply actions

RB is probably

the position I’m least worried about in 2013. Every in-state school should get at least two backs of very good quality. And not one individual back is just head and shoulders above the rest IMO

by westcoastnolefan on Dec 10, 2011 5:31 PM EST up reply actions

Michael, you must be a mind reader. I came to TN tonight to ask the very same questions you just answered.

One other question: There is a game on Sun Sports at 10:00pm tonight (North Florida Christian Eagles at Admiral Farragut Bluejackets) in the Class 2A State Finals. Is there anyone in that game we should keep an eye on?
Thank you again.

When ahead never let up.When behind never give up.

by Chief Pit Bull on Dec 9, 2011 9:26 PM EST reply actions

It's a replay from earlier

NFC killed Admiral Farragut 69-0.
Here is Bud’s write up
http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-football/2011/12/9/2624529/florida-high-school-football-playoffs-2011-clemson-recruits-power

As for players in the game NFC has Clemson commit Travis Blanks, and 2014 RB Jonathan Vickers is a really goo player imo. Blanks is trying to get him at Clemson(whose coaches were at the game).

For Admiral Farragut if you want to scout a future Miami player then watch Rayshawn Jenkins.

NFC RB Jonathan Vickers is really the only guy to watch from a future prospect that FSU might try to get in. Only a sophomore though.

#5 Kenneth Madison for Jefferson County seems to be a good ball player.

210LB SO, playing NG. I guess that says something about the competition that a 210 LB NG is dominating a game, but could he be a good LB at the next level?

*210lb NG.

by Chief Pit Bull on Dec 9, 2011 9:44 PM EST up reply actions

He looks good but have to remember competition.

Playing out of position. He has some time to add weight since he is a underclassman.

Ya, he has to be a LB at the next level.

But he is the best player on that field. I am also not live, so don’t know what lies ahead, just got to the 4th qtr.

Miami Columbus about to pull the upset over Miramar

I thought Columbus would have a good chance due to their ground game.

FSU coaches are at the Miramar vs Columbus game and First Coast vs Lakeland game

First Coast players that FSU are pursuing, Miami commit LB Reggie Northrup and 2013 top 30 Florida player LB Daniel McMillian

Lakeland has 2012 OT Evan Goodman that FSU is trying to flip from ASU.

Whoever wins this game will play next week on live stream at the link at the top of the page.
Justin Wells
I spy Odell Haggins and another #FSU assistant here at First Coast tonight.

End of first quarter

Greg Bryant is showing great power as it’s taking multiple defenders to take him down. Most impressive player might be American Heritage LT Roderick Johnson. He will be ranked by every site this spring.

For Madison 2013 CB Sheddrick Williams shows nice size and impressive burst.

It's funny listening to people on twitter

There like Greg Bryant is making a case for the best back in 2013. Where have you been? He has dominated the whole year averaging 11+ yards per carry. smh

Only real weakness on Greg Bryant is his long speed

Probably only a 4.55-.4.6 40 guy, but his burst makes up for it. Not many weakness in his game. Just rushed for 3rd TD

Could Jameis be a better version of denard robinson or do you think he would be more of a drop back passer that can scramble like Ponder or EJ.
