A Q-and-A with Florida State offensive coordinator James Coley
Coinciding with Bud's multi-part series covering the QB'S, the WR's, and the RB's, Andrew Carter post some of the answers Coach Coley gave on these topics, and more, such as:
-Devonta Freeman's early recruiting process.
-Areas of attention or improvement the team is addressing this offseason.
-How the strength and conditioning program has affected the team, with some players mentioned specifically.
-How the WR's have progressed to the next level this offseason.
-If the staff plans on curtailing the designed runs by EJ Manuel and the QB backup situation.
-How the staff killed it this last year in recruiting.

love joyner at 195 -
Haulstead losing weight must have been because of a flexibility issue
Solider: "Why is this godforsaken hellhole worth dying for?"
Captain Zapp Brannigan: "Don't ask me. You're the ones who are going to be dying."
I don't
believe any of those weights are remotely accurate….

I believe that is a very real possibility
Solider: "Why is this godforsaken hellhole worth dying for?"
Captain Zapp Brannigan: "Don't ask me. You're the ones who are going to be dying."
Thought it was just Haulstead.
Trickett “up to” 190…
Don’t see him ever being our starter.
MiNDSET? SWAG-ER-ISM!!!

Trick is right.
Wherever you are, Trick, you are wise, indeed.
Correct, Sir Trick.
Thanks tricknole!

I love his answer to the last question. Also it’s interesting that he mentioned QB’s usually get hurt after a pass not on a designed run, weird, but true.
I remember this being discussed a few weeks back in regards to Ponder.

I remember
Moody tweeting or posting on facebook last season that the coaches told him to quit having sex until his groin injury healed. Heh.
"Yes, we won a national championship." — Fisher on if he had ever had a top ranked class before.
Coker talk
makes me less concerned about a 2012 QB prospect. Not that we dont need one and/or shouldnt go get one. But just because Coker wasnt a big name during the recruiting cycle doesnt mean he cant be a big time player. Well see.
Its just frickin exciting to read Coley talking, much less hear it. Need to keep this guy around as long as possible.
"sorry my life is so much more bitchin than yours, I planned it this way" "Don't judge me until you've walked a mile in my shoes, snorted a mile of my coke, drank a vial of my Tigerblood." "Dying is for fools"

Coley is the man
I’m really excited to see what Jared Haggins has in store for us this year. His name is continuously coming up.
You know the real Q and A was more like a fight between crackheads over tinfoil a lighter and 20$.
Q: When recruiting Devonta Freeman, what did you as a staff see in him that other schools didn’t in the early going?
A: Can you hear the DRUMS? Get ready for your WARRIORS!!!!!! FEAR THE SPEAR!!!!!!!!!
Q: What are some areas of attention, or improvement, the team would like to address this offseason?
A: SPEAR-Phobia – It’s REAL!
Q: You and the staff killed it on the recruiting trail. How have you been able to do it?
A: By popular demand my exact location is……………….. EVERYWHERE – Fear The Spear!

Joyner
If Joyner can learn the scheme and he already can cover can he make a push for the starting position?
