Telvin Smith becoming more comfortable with defense

When Telvin Smith made his way onto the field for Florida State as a freshman last season, he described himself as "a man with his head on fire running around." The 6’3", 209-pound linebacker was a backup so he tried to be a standout on special teams. "I came in last year knowing that I had a starter in front of me and he was coming back, so I knew special teams was going to be a way to build the name Telvin Smith," he said. "Let people know that he’s here, he’s coming.
