THE RENEGADE REPORT - SCRIMMAGE RECAP

The Seminoles held 2 scrimmages last week. Herc & Nolebra Kai are back to recap both scrimmages and preview this Saturday's Spring Game. In PART 1, we discuss the first scrimmage. EJ Manuel was impressive throwing for 254 yards and 3TDs against the starting defense. Jimbo Fisher and the quarterbacks have been raving about the development of rising sophomore Jared "Scooter" Haggins. David Spurlock has missed more practice because of his concussions last season; Nolebra Kai believes Spurlock’s career at FSU is done. With that being said, he still feels like the Seminoles will field an offensive line capable of winning the ACC. In PART 2, we discuss the second scrimmage. The Defensive Line was the story of this scrimmage, controlling the line of scrimmage and constantly getting pressure on the quarterbacks. Jimbo Fisher said there’s no reason why this defense shouldn’t be dominant this season. He also singled out redshirt freshman defensive tackle Cam Irving as a player to watch out for in the future. We also briefly preview Saturday's Spring Game.
