Throw in a relentless work ethic, and it is easy to understand why Pompano Beach High’s Stephanie Pellitteri will join two Orlando-area athletes Wednesday in a historic signing with Florida State. Pellitteri was believed to be the first to commit to a sand volleyball scholarship when she announced in February that she will play for the Seminoles next spring in the NCAA’s inaugural season of the sport better known as beach volleyball.
