Interview with Christian Ponder
After spending some time on the Daily Norseman page, I know there are plenty of Viking fans that are less than pleased about the selection of Christian Ponder. It seems that after the initial shock has worn off, most of them have come to terms with the pick and are willing to give our guy a chance. The press conference with CP7 has a lot of them feeling MUCH better seeing as most of them knew very little about him. If I were a Vikings fan (which I now am by default) I would be very excited to see what he can do after watching the interview with him.
Watch it here.

Nice Interview
I think we often overlook the mental and work ethic side to playing QB. If everyone had the same work ethic and mental capacity then it wouldn’t matter but that clearly isn’t true. Could you ever imagine a scenario where CP7 was kicked out of school or stole a computer? What about having his father accept a bribe? Work Ethic matters.

I was one of those shocked Vikings fans, and I'm much happier about this pick now
Like you said, he didn’t steal any laptops or take any bribes.
He also didn’t face any drug allegations or miss meetings with NFL personnel (Mallett), scare people away with low completion percentage (Locker), bad mechanics (Kaepernick), ho-hum stats in a funky college spread system (Gabbert), or perceived strength of schedule questions (Dalton).
Ponder might be the most boring QB pick in this year’s draft. Funny thing is, the boring picks are usually the safe ones.
Anyone who calls the Williams Wall the 'Williams Sisters' cannot possibly be a real Vikings fan. Check back with me when Ray Edwards has gone to a Pro Bowl or is being talked about as a future Hall of Famer.
