Florida State offers Orlando Oak Ridge High School athlete Guito Ervilus
Ervilus is a two-way player for his Oak Ridge team, who looks to project at LB or TE at the next level. He offers tremendous upside as this will be his third year playing football. Ervilus recently had a set back when he tore his ACL on May 6th during practice. Ervilus is expected to be an early enrollee to the college he chooses. Film of Guito Ervilus.

Michael are we recruiting him at TE?
I think that his blocking was the most impressive thing on that video. Although he seemed to take some plays off which you never like to see, but our coaches can definitely take care of that. But the biggest thing that stood out to me was(if the numbers were accurate) his bench and squat max. 250 bench and 325 squat isnt that much for a 230 lbs person. However that might be something the coaches caught on to before other coaches(just guessing dont know about his offers), that he could explode under our S & C program. I think he could be a good blocking TE after he has been here for a few years. Also even though I didnt love his film, I love that he would be an EE I think that makes a huge difference when looking at a prospect like him.

I'm not sure what position exactly the coaches like him at
Last year was only his second year playing football, so he is the definition of raw. I would think that he would be recruited as an athlete. I don’t think FSU would offer him as a TE unless they felt there in a bad position with Kent Taylor

Ahh I see I missed the part about him only having played football for 2 years, my mistake
That does make his film mch more impressive. He is certainly raw, but he seems to be a pretty good athlete. I dont know if you got this impression but he seemed to me to be a pretty good blocker, especially since he has only played 2 years.
Side note: Do we still feel like we are in a good position for Kent Taylor? I’m a big fan of his and I really hope we get him.

He is a very good blocker for only playing football for 2 years
Taylor almost committed during Junior Day, but he wants to see what the FSU offense does with its TE next year. I think the FSU coaches would hold a spot for him.

I thought he was not high on us because of our TE use in the past
Good to see he’s giving us some time to show what Jimbo wants to do with TEs. Taylor, O’Leary, Tye and Sessions would just be unfair.
If you work for a living, why do you kill yourself working?
More leery than not high on us...
Like Michael said he wants to see what we do with the TE.
He's said that he's not necessarily looking for touches, or passes thrown to
but how active the TE is with the offense in general.

I don't see it
I just don’t see why the offer, his size is good but nothing I saw from those highlights were mindblowing, not to mention he just tore his acl

agreed. he's got good size, good speed, but all of his blocking was on DBs, not very impressed.
he doesn’t seem to have any burst speed, could definitely see TE but not an elite one. but i trust the coaching staff, they know more than I do obviously.

It’s this new thing going around campus lately-I think it’s known by the term…"winning". I hear it’s really addictive and the real hardcore victory junkies can smell it from all the way across the nation."

Hes clearly a great athlete
The obviously think the tear is fine or they wouldnt have offered.
For his size and inexperience he did some very impressive things including hands speed for his size quickness and hands. He could play multiple postions legit.

I disagree about his blocking
One play that I remember he took a DE and completely sealed him off and turned him away from the play. I think that for only having played 2 years his blocking was pretty good.

He looks very, very fluid for someone his size.
He has room to grow physically, plus can be molded because of his inexperience. I dismissed the blocks as they were mostly just clean outs.
ACL injuries have come a long way
Used to be a career ender. Now if your young with good medical personal its a 6 month injury. Just look at Tony Stewerd. Even though I know hes not in the same class as Stewerd

twitter of random stuff and tons of confessing FSU love name @caine115
I'm not saying this is the situation here, but some prospects say they have a verbal offer to get attention from more schools
It does surprise me FSU would offer after he tore his ACL especially since we have Jimbo Fisher Camp coming up.

Isn't every offer conditional?
You probably meant more about his health being the condition, but still.
Looks like a really good athlete to me.
Wouldn’t mind him at TE if we don’t land Taylor but I think maybe he could be a good MLB, too.

Trick is right.
Wherever you are, Trick, you are wise, indeed.
Correct, Sir Trick.
Thanks tricknole!

He impressed me the most on the few plays at DE
seemed to have good recognition and I could easily see him at 275 with that frame. Also, presumably less of a learning curve than TE for someone so new to the game. we don’t need more Relifords at TE at this point….in the sense of learning the position while starting
Nice to have a Guito
but he is one of the most non-Guito looking Guito’s I’ve ever come across….
Championship!
