FSU takes 2 of 3 from UCF

FSU finished up the weekend series with a solid 6-1 win today over UCF to take 2 of 3 from an underrated opponent (one that beat UF twice this year).  McGee went 7 solid innings, only giving up a solo homerun and Bennett came on to close out the final two innings.  McGee also added a solo homerun from the plate, as he hopefully showed a little promise as a potential number 3 guy on the mound.  I know he hasn't pitched much this year, but a veteran #3 guy would be a big boost for this team hitting the final stretch.   Especially after Hunter Scantling looked less than invincible in last night's 14-10 loss.

The key for the Noles here is to get a win out of Gilmartin every start and then hope for one out of the next two with Hunter and the #3 guy each series.  With the hitting the Noles can provide, this is definitely doable.

Next game is Tuesday night against Stetson (another sneaky good Florida baseball team).  Benicasa gets the start and a chance to show that he can be trusted as a potential starter come tourney time....I don't have access to the games, so I have been following the warchant liveblog.  If anyone on TN wants to do a game follow along, I am always looking for something to distract me from law school finals studying.
