Daniel McMillian Highlights (Linebacker Recruit of Jacksonville First Coast)
Daniel McMillian is one of the top linebackers in the state of Florida. And he is just a rising junior for First Coast High School in Jacksonville, Florida. Florida State, Florida, and Miami have all reportedly offered him. We've said that 2012 is a poor year for linebackers in the state. If there are more kids like McMillan, 2013 is going to be a lot better.
Daniel McMillian shows impressive burst in the clips. His change of direction is solid. If, hypothetically, he were able to sign now, he would likely receive a four-star rating. At 6'2" and 210 pounds, he is physically impressive for a rising junior.
First Coast High School has been a fertile recruiting ground for Florida State recently, as Jermaine Thomas, Avis Commack, Nigel Carr, Derrick Mitchell, and Eric Beverly all signed with FSU in the last few cycles. This year, FSU is pursuing receiver Chris Black from First Coast, though he did not grow up an FSU fan and is far from a lock.
McMillian is certainly one to keep an eye on next year.
What are your thoughts on the film?

HUGE year for 2013 LB
Propsects that claim verbal offers from FSU already:
Reginald Carter- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=25GlAv4DLjM
Johnny O’Neil- http://recruiting.scout.com/2/961878.html
Eric "EJ"Levenberry- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HRSndcVHwCI
Trey Johnson- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1vKQQY2dkHs
This doesn’t even include guys like Jayron Kearse and Allan Taylor

The state of Georgia has ridiculous high end talent at LB in 2013 with Carter, O'Neil and Johnson mentioned above
Florida also looks to have some very good talent too. If Jayron Kearse( Nephew of NFL star Jevon) wasn’t arrested for armed robbery he would have offers from all over by now. Another player to watch out for is Gainesville high school Keith Kelsey. I also think South Lake HS Marcell Harris could be moved to LB at the next level. Harris is blowing up with UF offering this week and Texas on the verge of offering.

Sounds like JK
Is a shoo-in uf legacy… he’s got his uncle, his weapon.
This kid is going to be awesome
he has incredible ability to slow the game down around him.
I think *everyone* wants Maximus Awesomus as their team's QB.
-A guy who’s kind to kids, but doesn’t cut their genitals on field trips.
-You’d let him date your daughter just so you could see him in person.
-I think we all want this guy

'11: Minimum Goal: 9-3 Regular Season. Given FSU's non-con slate, don't care who the 9 are.
'10: 7th in offense, 41st in defense. Division Champions. 10-4. (6-3)
'09: 8th in offense, 88th in defense. 7-6 (4-4)

wtf
qb doing his best jacory harris impression at 0:21
He certainly looks like a good athlete.
In a lot of the video he’s coming in unblocked or a poor RB is attempting unsuccessfully to block him. – Not his fault, just what I noticed.
Does this mean we are not going to take any LBs this year strictly for dept purposes?
I think we should concentrate solely on Lee, Eligwe, and Clemons and if we only land 1 or 2 fine, we load up on more talented guys in 2013.
I think it has been discussed on here but it seems our coaches have a lower than typical target number for LBs about 10. I believe most teams that employ a 4-3 have preferred to carry 11/12 LBs on roster. Do you think the coaches are doing this because Stoops wants to play more Nickel and therefore wants an extra DB on the roster? I also think the coaches could be trying to exploit a market inefficiency on the D line with so many of the elite Ds in the Southeast going to a 3-4 scheme we should be able to recruit DTs and big DEs at an extraordinary rate.
I’ll answer the question when I get back, but I don’t know any 4-3 teams carrying 12 backers. 9-11 seems to be standard.

That’s a big guy. I would prefer him at linebacker but want to see him play more.

I like this kid alot
He seems to be a pretty sure tackler, wrapping up while still delivering a pretty good pop. Also he seems to shed blockers pretty well, and get to the qb/ballcarrier. And I love that they use him on kickoffs! He seemed to do a good job on them, which is where he would most likely make an impact early at FSU. He does seem to do only one thing though, and that is rush. So I’m guessing that his coverage is the weakest part of his game. But most kids coming out of high school need work on their coverage. He looks to be a very good lb prospect.

Was thinking that also
He seems to shed blocks every well. He also looks like he has very good recovery speed and can make a tackle anywhere after the play starts. Considering he is a 2013 graduate this must be So fil which makes it even more impressive. Really hope we end up with this kid
A Seminole warrior killed in battle is a legend remembered. A Gator lost in battle becomes a pair of boots and a belt.
Arm tackling and behind the play a lot
He’s no Telvin Smith but he does have time to get better. Could be a good one!
D-Hop has tiger blood
I don’t want to offend any coaches who may be reading this, but the first coast guys are often more athlete than technique.

Pretty decent tackling
Wish the editing was different, but he’s looking like a man among boys there just running right through the offensive line or into the backfield seemingly unblocked.
He’s a good get so long as he gets to campus.
