Florida State finally started to work on Oklahoma for the first time this year on Monday. And if you'll buy that... Anyway, WR Willie Haulstead was not out there for the 'Noles as he continues to battle concussion issues. Less concerning were the boots worn by WR Bert Reed and CB Xavier Rhodes. FSU is pretty quick to put a boot on a player as a precautionary measure. I expect both to play. Also, Bryan Stork and Jacob Fahrenkrug did make the switch we discussed yesterday. Stork is now at center and Fahrenkrug is now at left guard. This looked like the better fit in the second half of Saturday's game.
If you missed it this morning, Bobby Bowden made an appearance on ABC's Good Morning America and announced that he was treated for prostate cancer in 2007. He is now fine and made the announcement during prostate cancer month to encourage other men to see their doctors. Glad to hear coach is healthy and able to enjoy his retirement.
Rivals
This season is not going well for the winless Boston College Eagles. Their offensive coordinator has taken a leave of absence for health reasons, and three of four starters in the secondary entering the final week of camp have either left the team or been lost for the season. BC is not a deep team and cannot recover from these injuries to threaten for the division. They could be dangerous in a one-game setting, but I'll reserve judgment on that until I see the new OC.
We'll have lots more OU coverage today. Get excited, 'Nole fans.
