Make Some Damn Noise

Stay connected for news and updates

Today, we face a formidable opponent. The Oklahoma Sooners have been atop the college landscape for the better part of a decade, and it doesn't look like that's going to change any time soon. Florida State, on the other hand, has just been just moving along for the better part of a decade. But today, we have the chance to turn the tide, to rise from the ashes of irrelevance, to regain our seminole swag, and reclaim our spot as a national powerhouse and national championship contender. But this will not happen if we remain quiet and subtle at today's game.

I try to make the voyage to Tallahassee two or three times a year, and when I do, I pride myself in being disorderly as hell. I scream the warchant while jumping up and down and spilling my drink on the poor people in front of me, ok, maybe I'm not that bad, but maybe we all should be. I've been watching alot of ESPN lately, and the reporters keep going back to the FACT that Doak Campbell Stadium is not considered a scary place to play in, an isn't a true 12th man stadium. This has to change if we have any hope of beating Oklahoma today. We have to be so damn loud, that they can't run the hurry up offense because they can't hear the sideline communication, we have to be so disorienting, that Oklahoma players will dread getting off the bench and coming onto the field.

When we're up by seven in the first, scream your asses off; when we're down 14 in the third, be just as loud as you were the opening kickoff. And under no circumstances, NONE WHATSOEVER, leave the stadium if the game is not going as well as we hope it will. Fan is short for fanatic after all, and we have to be fanatic, as this is our duty, our jobs as fans to support our team no matter what the score and no matter who the opposition is. We are THE Florida State Seminoles, and disturbing the peace will be our goal on gameday from now on.

Edit: Fantastic energy at the game guys and girls. Who knows what would have happened if EJ stayed in the entire game, but I was encouraged by many aspects of our game and I look forward to Clemson.
