Now that Texas A&M has officially announced their decision to divorce the Big 12 and University of Texas, the momentum is on for a new round of conference realignment. The rumor has Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech going to the Pac 12 to make a 16 team conference. This would probably force the SEC to look for 4 teams as well. Texas A&M and Missouri seem like two obvious choices. Should the ACC go after 4 teams out of the Big East to prevent FSU, Clemson, or Virginia Tech from leaving for the SEC. USF, West Virginia, Pittsburgh and Syracuse would make the ACC a deeper football conference and probably more importantly strengthen the conference in basketball.
