PSL, I hope you don't mind that I embedded the video and moved it to the front page.

I'm not so sure this Jimbo fella is the right man for the job.
Awesome
Truly a special moment there. Coach Trickett’s reaction was my favorite part of the game. At first I couldn’t decide if it was raw emotion or if that cop standing with him had sprayed him with mace.

Doak maintenance crew had to replace a 12″ × 12″ piece of sod where Coach Trickett’s tear hit the turf = bad@$$! Great moment…Go Noles!

this was a really cool moment
really glad they got it on camera so we could all see it. it took me a minute to realize that he was choked up and not just putting on a poker face. it was really nice to see the big guy able to really soak in and enjoy the moment.

I love it how
he wasn’t staring Greene down the whole time until he went to throw the pass.
Folks should remember:
Clint was hardly a scrub coming out of high school. The kid can play. Biggest problem with him that I’ve heard about is that it’s apparently damned near impossible to put any weight on him.

This was my favorite part of the game, too.
Just watching it again makes me tear up a bit. Great moment!

"Up next:"

I like this video, but that one might just take the MF cake.

Maybe Trickett isn't so bad after all
He’s not the biggest guy, but just maybe the kid can play after all. A lot of people have pretty much decided that Coker was the future after EJ. Looks like maybe all that talk was a bit premature. I know its just one play, but it was the most well executed pass play of the game. The timing on that throw was perfect. As soon as Greene came out of his break, the ball was right on the money with pretty good zip. Not bad for a RS freshman throwing his first college pass…. it would be nice if he could gain a few pounds though :)
I do hope he is good, but it was still 1 pass in the 4th to an open mad who missed a tackle
Not bashing. But really no way to judge

I'm not calling him Drew Brees or anything
But as far as execution goes, that was better than any pass EJ threw all day. I thought the biggest problem EJ had Saturday was he was a little bit slow making his reads and getting the ball out. Obviously its just the first game against a goofy scheme and he’s still working the kinks out. Clint’s execution on that play was perfect. The ball was out even before Greene was finished his break. Just to be clear, I’M NOT SAYING CLINT IS BETTER THAN EJ. That would be nonsense. But I think he can run the offense and be a very respectable backup for us this year, assuming he doesn’t get beat up.
He clearly read it before the snap
The CB was almost 10 yards off of Greene and dropping back into deep coverage. It was the first read he made. EJ was probably trying to go through all his reads rather than pre-determining one and just firing it in there, trying to get a look at the entire field before making a decision and maybe concentrating on the middle of the field, which will help him against better defenses. Definitely a really good throw though, right on time and accurate. EJ was looking a bit inaccurate all game.
I'm looking
forward to the quarterback battle in 2013. FOUR talented QB’s battling it out to be FSU’s QB.

It think he already counted that
Trickett, Coker, Maguire, Winston makes four. Secord, if still around, would make it five.

He's not. his timing and ball placement on that play was good.
He impressed me the same way in the spring game.

Awesome
Sitting FSU side at the 50 I knew it was his first time in and told everyone around me before the play. I was looking for his Dad but to watch him but I couldn’t find him. It was party crazy when Gteene scored.

Credit NOL on that play too
Just as Rashad was stopping in his route, Nick was turning around too and the linebacker had to respect the TE pass and couldn’t get to the play in time (before tripping over his own guy on the chase). Solid play from the freshmen all around.
hadnt noticed it before you mentioned it
but O’Leary was slow off the line there. thinking back, i think he was slow off the line most of the day. at first it looked like he was selling block before going out on the route, but he didnt come out of his stance with the rest of the line.

Maybe just making extra-sure
He didn’t get a false start ;-)
I don't know if you all ever watched Clint's highlight reel
But his HS team ran that play about 50-11 times.
It was really cool to see him execute on it in his 1st collegiate throw
Trick's first words back at practice to his OL will be something like this:
“One word about me on TV and they won’t ever find your body.”
I don't think anybody on the team...
would be foolish enough to give Rick Trickett a hard time about that. I know I would never mention it to his face.

Yea no one would dare
He will prob come in and just happen to get into a Marine conversation about ripping someones throat out in hand to hand combat some time for some random reason

Hands down my favorite moment of the game.
Dan Hawkins said it best when he said that this is what college is about. Everyone on the team was so happy and so supportive of Clint. This team really is a family, it was so great to see everybody just genuinely happy for Clint and Coach Trickett’s reaction was terrific. All his toughness aside, that’s still his son and I’m sure there wasn’t anybody in the world more happy and proud than he was.
Just a great moment for FSU in general and a great way to start the season.
he has to put on some weight
God he looks like a twig out there. Really happy for him but I would hate to see him get hit too hard…
Just thought if a biig problem with this
Who gets to keep the ball lol. The Freshman receiver’s first catch in college that he takes in for a TD. Or the So QB’s first college pass that goes for a TD. lol Need to share it

Really great moment right here.
Love to see the emotion outta Coach Trickett. You know, an emotion other than anger.
I like
how right on the sideline all the support from the defense. C. Jones, Hunter, Cam, Waisome and GR5 right there smiling. Really does seem to have that family team feel.
