ESPN Bracketology - FSU an 11 Seed
ESPN's latest edition of bracketology has FSU as an 11 seed, and not listed in the "First Four Out" or "Next Four Out". FSU joins Duke, UNC, & Virginia as the ACC's only 4 representatives. Big Ten and Big East both have 8 schools in the tourney.

It has been that way for the last few years.
Face it, how strong is the ACC if FSU is 4th? That will be the perception anyway, by most casual NCAA basketball fans.
If Maryland or NC State sneak in, it will because they beat someone in the ACC impressive enough to warrant consideration, like Virginia or FSU, which would effect the losing team. OR, they won the ACC tournament, which will still effect any bubble team.
With Syracuse and Pittsburgh joining the ACC, this may be the last year you see only 4 ACC teams

Lots of new systems still being learned, and ACC is dominating recruiting.
Two things to suggest that this is definitely the trough year.

Michael, I had been meaning to ask about those new systems.
It seems from your articles on the new ACC coaches, the trend is “slow down, limit posessions” type of coaches, producing low scoring games.
In your opinion, is this a direct correlation to Hamilton’s success in the ACC at FSU?

FSU is almost 2 possessions above the national average,
so actually fairly uptempo. Seminole scores are so low due to offensive challenges. Not sure why schools are hiring so many down tempo coaches.

With response to ACC recruiting...
We saw what Ga Tech did with a talented class of recruits. Do you think the coaching has improved in the past 2 years?

No. Never been impressed by Gregoy.
But they were hamstrung by Hewitt’s buyout and couldn’t justify spending more on a new guy

It was a big win and just what FSU needed to avoid being a bubble team.

also, lets give a shout out to the smartest american sportswriter alive today: the one
man (or woman!) who gave the Noles their only vote in this week’s AP Top 25. What genius! What vision! Can we get a donation together and buy this trailblazer a Honeybaked Ham(pun intended)???
Come and see the violence inherent in the system!!!
