Sweet
The only problem will be fans complaining he is a bust if he isn’t a starter/all conference selection by the end of next season. (They might also suggest he be moved to a different position to better “utilize his talent”.)
Also the “Newberry should be switched to OT” crowd will get a tad louder.
Thought he should have been an OT anyways

Agreed.
Mike Martin should go coach Hawaii. Then he could have all the poi's he ever wanted - MattDNole

I don't believe he should switch to OT.
Ever.

Wrong
Newberry has more upside as OT, especially considering our DE depth.

The upside measuring scale never lies
I placed Georgio on the scale and it said OT. Jimbo has one in his office. I bring mine to games. It’s only a matter of time before Georgio is collecting all-american awards on the o-line.

It's hard to measure the depth of DE
When ya know the guy’s factoring in Edwards jr, Casher, Fowler…and they’re not even on campus yet. And might never be.

player position switching???
I don’t understand people’s infatuation with wanting certain players to switch positions. For instance; Karlos Williams…. We have seen the evidence that suggests that he would be a star at pretty much any position he wanted to play and yet some feel that he should move to offense because Brooks is a great safety and they don’t believe Los would be. Players like Los and Newberry haven’t even got a chance to play their position yet but some people actually think they know where they would have more upside or a bigger impact at. Newberry is 6’6 270+ lbs… His upside at DE is just as big as his upside at OT. The only player I could really understand a position change would be Wilder because of our lack of depth at LB and because its quite obvious that his max upside would be at LB. I think we should give players a chance to play where they want to play before passing judgement on where they should play.

High school hype
and getting those players on the field at ANY position trumps anthing the coaches see in practice, just trust me.
Dont Worry, about a thing. Every little thing, is gonna be alright.
