"Florida State offensive tackle Andrew Datko will no longer seek his medical redshirt for a fifth year. He has signed with an agent already"
No big surprise, but this makes it official. I can't link from work, but a couple of people have it on twitter now.

NFL draft
Many have him as a 3rd round pick. Called a “low risk, high upside” kind of guy.
Wish him luck. Thanks for the memories.
With his injury history, I don't really see him picked up earlier than the 4th.
I’ve seen those same reports, but I think he’s a high risk guy. For a third rounder, you want to a guy that can contribute pretty quickly and eventually be a starter. I hope someone takes him that high, I just don’t see teams overlooking his lack of a shoulder…

Sorry that
his last year ended like that. Here’s to hoping that he gets a few good years on the next level. Been a pretty good player for us. Best of luck Andrew!
Best of luck Andrew
Sorry it ended like it did but this is probably best for all involved. He needs some time to sit a season or two at the next level given him time to fully recovery. We need a guy who will be healthy enough to play all the way from camp on through the end of the season, giving us the cohesion we didn’t have last season. So it is win-win.
Given his recent and repeat injuries ....
How is he called ‘low risk’? maybe for a 6 rd pick, not a third.
Second that!
Good luck to you in the NFL and thanks for being a great Nole!
