RB first year comparisons

JWJ doesn't look good (statistically) and a mention for Antone Smith.... It's too bad Freeman didn't rank higher star wise because I would have loved to see his numbers in this comparison. Nice piece though and shows how patient you have to be with 4-5* RBs.

Re: Perspective for all the people saying JWJ can't play at RB and should be switched to LB.

He finished 2nd out of the top 5 rated RBs coming in last cycle in Adj. POE, while running behind hands down the worst line by far out of the group.

I think we completely wasted a year of JWJ eligibility

Not saying he should have redshirted, because you simply can’t redshirt a talent like that with the backfield depth(or lack thereof) we had. I just think he should have gotten more that 35 carries.

He’s lucky he got that. And you can tell by his play that it’s not the coaches faults he’s so low. Dude needs a lot of work.

He has good hands, but goodness his vision is bad. He could be a very good back for us at some point, but he either needs more time to develop or he should change positions.

I honestly don’t know if he can beat Pender for the #2 spot (I’m assuming CT is out) unless Pender can’t block.
