I've said it once, and I'll say it again.

Bama is better than LSU. Period. Dominated the first game, lost because of special team flukes.

I thought they were better first game too.

Should have won, just blew it. But my goodness if LSU doesn’t do something fast to make this a game, I’m going to bed. Perhaps first championship game I haven’t made it through.

That’s what I felt (Bama bias aside) they moved the ball easier than LSU moved the ball. Bama’s defense isn’t as athletic but a tad more disciplined than LSUs IMO. LSU just physically manhandles opponents.

Bama’s spraying the field in the one way you can beat LSU – intermediate routes.

Lol. Smh. This is on the LSU coaching staff. Bama has thoroughly out played and out coached them.

And for them to still be loyal to Jordan Jefferson is ridiculous. If I was a senior lineman I would go to the coaches and ask that Lee get at least 2 series.

The problem with rematches

by FSU on Jan 9, 2012 11:10 PM EST up reply actions

dude, this is exciting for a lot of us

Bama is dominating this game, but LSU’s defense is holding them to all FGs – which keeps LSU in it if they can put together a return or offensive drive. defense can be better than offense. the missed FGs arent fun, but blocked ones sure are.

im loving it

dont need TDs to make it a good game. the fact that Bama is dominating up and down the field, but gets stifled when they get near the red zone, is really exciting. the missed FGs in the last game were laughable (and i actually laughed), but this is just hard-nosed defense on both sides. its less exciting than MIckey’s blitzes that came from nowhere on every down, but it doesnt take big plays to make for a good game, just good play.

that "interception" at the goal line that would have been a Bama 1st and goal

But you can't question that the turnover came about because the LSU player was super aggressive and fought tooth and nail for that ball.

Bud likes to mention that fumble recoveries are random, but there was nothing random about that INT. And it stopped a likely touchdown.

it cheapens the real reasons: talent, coaching, and hard work. im all about giving credit where credit is due – Saban (and massive talent), Drew Brees, and luck, in that order.

to a kid getting hurt. How many of these kids has experienced a natural disaster before? Much less a tornado? The few from south Florida, and that’s probably it. Things like that alter your perception, and can make you increase focus.

FWIW, I agree with you. It shouldn’t be the main story. But it certainly is a part of it.

The Tornado gets talked about as Bama wins

just like whenever a disaster happens and that team wins. As was just mentioned. Japan, N.O. it always happens. Even the hype to game 1 brought it up and how Bama was playing for people.

I am sorry about your father in law. But it was a national story, not just local. telling people to not talk about it unless they saw the devastation means pretend it didnt happen or if you need to avoid it never watch TV or read anything online. I lost my house in hurricane Andrew. And my friends brother was killed. Its terrible. But natural disaster deaths happen.I cant tell people if they were not there to see Andrew hit to not talk about it.

the only positive yards they had were a few passes that either could make, and some scrambles that only Jefferson could make. they figured he was still their best chance, and they were probably (sadly) right.

I meant worse then losing by 21 and not scoring a point.

Would losing 28 nothing cause of a turnover be worse then 21-0 and not even a chance. Sometimes the better QB may not be right for that situation. maybe Lee comes in and is so bad he bounces it off his own teammates helmet and it goes into another players hand for a TD. Sometimes its just a change. I mean I see your point. But when ou have not crossed the 50 and are losing and dont look liek you are going to suddenly start moving it. What is there to lose you arent already going to at the pace your playing

When you are facing a D that good, you are just hoping your idiot QB doesnt turn it over.

If there was a time to let it all loose, it would have been in the 4th quarter, when they finally crossed midfield. A penalty and a sack later, there was no chance for 6 and Bama just controlled the clock from there.
