I finally decided after 99 months of Warchant to come over here and get in on where I here there is better action. There has been something on my mind for so long and I just cant seem to get the answer.
Is it just me or has E.J. just not progressed into what we thought he would be. Forget the he's a great leader and teammate thing, because he is. No one is questioning his capabilities as a leader. He has kept his nose clean, works his butt off, and seems like a good kid.
But, I see these other kids (Texas Tech, Kansas St.) QB's and I see them making so many better reads. Herbstreit even pointed it out, saying one of the Miami kids almost had to call for a fair catch under one of his passes. He missed Benjamin earlier in the game and every game it seems like he is high on so many passes.
Watching other stud QB's, I just wonder what we would get with these receivers if we had a kid that hit the deep ball. I am not talking the stupid ass lob balls that Jimbo calls on 3rd and 5 in the red zone (I almost lost my TV that we didn't even think about rolling EJ out to a bootleg/TE option.
So, what do you guys think? Do you think E.J. is the victim of bad play calling and bad scheming or do you think he is just a great athlete who misses some passes?
Thanks
