GREENSBORO, NC - The pairings are set for the 8th Annual Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game which will be played on Saturday, Dec. 1, at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C. The game will be nationally televised with an 8 pm kickoff on either ABC or ESPN.

Florida State and Georgia Tech will face each other for the first time in the Championship Game and the two teams will meet for the first time since 2009, a 49-44 Tech victory in Tallahassee, Fla.

The Seminoles, coached by Jimbo Fisher and ranked 5th nationally in this week's USA Today poll, captured the Atlantic Division berth, posting a 10-1 overall record and a 7-1 conference mark tying Clemson for the Atlantic Division title. FSU earned the berth in the game by virtue of its 49-37 win over Clemson on Sept. 22. Florida State hosts its arch-rival this Saturday in 6th-ranked Florida at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee in a nationally televised game on ABC (3:30 p.m.)

The Yellow Jackets, coached by Paul Johnson and winners of three straight games, took the Coastal Division berth by finishing 5-3 in the conference with a 42-24 win over Duke last weekend. That, combined with Miami's decision to self-impose a postseason bowl ban for the second straight year, puts the Jackets in Charlotte. The Hurricanes and North Carolina both are 4-3 and could finish in a tie with Tech in the Coastal Division with wins this Saturday against Duke and Maryland, respectively but neither are eligible for the postseason.

Georgia Tech, 6-5 overall and 5-3 in the ACC, will complete its regular season by travelling to meet its arch-rival, 3rd-ranked Georgia, this Saturday at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga. The game will be nationally televised by ESPN with a noon kickoff.

Florida State holds a 12-9-1 advantage in the series between the two teams which began in 1952, and had won 12 straight against the Jackets after joining the ACC in 1992. But Tech has claimed the last two meetings between the teams.
