Each week we look back at what Florida State did in its game compared to our goals set in the preview.

Offense

More than 6 yards a play before garbage time (300 yards on 50 plays): Fail

Florida State gained 307 yards on 53 plays before garbage time. That is 5.8 yards/play, which is very close to goal. In Garbage time, FSU gained 90 yards on 14 plays, which is 6.43/play.

No more than 1 turnover before garbage time: Pass

Florida State threw one interception before garbage time. Pretty self explanatory.

50% or greater TDs in the red zone: Pass

Florida State scored touchdowns on three of four red-zone trips before garbage time. 75% is quite good.

Defense

Less than 3 yards/play before garbage time (120 on 40 plays): Pass

This defensive effort was insane. As in, 80 yards on 44 plays, or 1.82 yards/play. Crazy. In garbage time, Maryland ran up 90 on 7 snaps.

Force 2 turnovers before garbage time: Fail

FSU forced only one turnover with its defense.

33% or less TDs in the red zone: Undefined

Strange one here, as Maryland never entered the red zone. That's interesting.
