I find it hilariously ridiculous that I have to try to convince some FSU fans that you cannot get any better than EJ at QB this year. All year people have given their two cents about how horrible EJ is and how all these other QB's in the country are so much better. That even though FSU is 10-1; we'd be so much better if we just had a quality QB. I've heard names like Matt Barkley, Geno Smith, Tyler Wilson, AJ McCarron, Johnny Football, Colin Klein, and Logan Thomas all being better than EJ. When you look at these names; you start to understand that their is a very big difference between fans and coaches lol. People even believe that FSU would beat Alabama if Clint or Coker started but not if EJ started (smh no words).
Fans were riding the media wave early on believing the hype about Matt, Geno and even Tyler and Logan pre season. Funny how those names arent mentioned anymore. Then on the quest to find "that guy" it was AJ, Colin, and Johnny. Then we saw what would happen if AJ had to put the team on his shoulders to win. Alabama lost at home to an average Texas AM team. Then we saw what would happen if Colin was asked to be a real QB. 3 interceptions and a blowout loss to Baylor. Then as the media jumped off the Geno bandwagon on a search to find the new "flavor of the month"; Johnny Football became the new household name. And boy did FSU fans jump on that bandwagon too lol. But he did beat Alabama in Tuscaloosa so he has to be better than EJ. Nevermind that A&M has lost 2 games and couldve easily lost 4 to Ole Miss and La Tech.
I understand that some people can't help but amplify EJs flaws, shortcomings or mistakes to judge his career and talent off of. But when I stepback and look at the totality of his career I see someone that is undefeated in every bowl game he's played in since his Freshman year and the most efficient QB in FSU and ACC history. And his career isn't over yet. FSU could find itself in the BCS title game and if that happens what would people say then???
