Rivals Basketball Recruiting Rankings
FSU has the 19th ranked b-ball recruiting class, which is pretty good. The best part about it is the team ranked 20th in the rankings. This is the 3rd time in the last 4 years that we've had higher ranked class then them, granted that doesn't always equal production.

Basically I'm just saying its nice to outdo them in anything, regardless.
If life gives you lemons, go ahead and punch a Gator fan.
Are those two PG's
really PG’s or athletic shooting guards that Coach Ham believes he can convert? A highly ranked PG would really help this team.

Tommyhawk Nation: Bobby Bowden is the all-time ACC leader in conference titles, conference wins, total wins, winning percentage, bowl appearances & wins and owns the longest conference winning streak.
They have FSU's class ranked 2 straight years because of Aaron Thomas.
Maybe he’ll re-class again and the Noles will be ranked 3 straight years.

Have you seen Thomas play? Is he that good?
I’m hoping, cause we’re losing a lot after this year.
yes, and yes.
Would have never escaped the Big Ten if anyone besides Ham thought he could qualify.

"which is pretty good"
I’d say 19th out of the 300 something D1 schools is more than “pretty good”

It wasn't derogatory.. I was just typing how I would speak.
So more of an upbeat inflection on the phrase, not in a “we could do better” tone. But, there is always room to improve, 18 schools ahead of us.

I'm assuming this is a mistake, but...
Rivals has 2 of our commits with a “PG” next to our name, but I know we don’t use that PG position. What gives?
Damn good in my book for a "football" school
Only true “football” schools ahead of us are Michigan, Michigan State,Texas and ND.
Not bad at all.
Michigan State is NOT a football school. They're basketball all the way.

Love the sarcasm
With 6 MNC’s, 3 Rose Bowl championships and 9 Big 10 championships in football, I’m sure that’s what you intended. LOL.
You've gotta go back a quarter century for the last Rose Bowl win and almost a half century for the last MNC.
Have you lived in Michigan any time in recent memory? Because I’m telling you, they’re all basketball. UM is the football school in this state, MSU is the basketball school.

I'll grant you that Michigan
is the bigger football school but they’re both good in the two sports.
Michigan is #2 all time in appearances in the AP poll since 1936 with 774.
FSU is #16 (which is damn good considering they had no team to be ranked in the 30’s and 40’s) with 473.
Michigan State is #21 with 329, just ahead of Clemson with 325.
Michigan State finished last season ranked #11 and the year before they were ranked #14 so they aren’t just some “old” football power. As I’m sure you noted…they finished ahead of FSU in both years.
Believe me, I know all about the couple years of success that MSU has had in football.
I’m around Spartans ALL THE TIME and they let me know every time they’re ranked ahead of us, which lately has been quite a bit. I guess I shouldn’t have talked up our pre-season top 5 ranking this past year.
That still doesn’t compel me to classify them as a football school. Ask Spartans, even they’ll tell you that they’re basketball first. I’m not trying to say that they’ve never had success in football, but for you to call them a “true football school” just looks, sounds, and feels wrong.
