After watching the game last night, I started to wonder how the media would perceive that win over Virginia Tech. Would they focus on the ugly aspect of the game (98% of the game for those who didn't watch), or would they see that this team is figuring out what it takes to win and is progressing. A good team doesn't blow every opponent out of the water, but they find ways to win even when they play an awful game.
Today's bracketology has FSU back up to a 5-seed in the NCAA Tournament, which is great, but my question is what will it take to get even higher? On the extreme end of the spectrum, is it going to take winning the ACC tournament to show that they deserve a 4 seed or higher, or will say a home win and regular season sweep over Duke be enough? If so, what would an ACC tournament championship do for the team seed-wise. I was wondering if Michael Rogner had any input on that from either experience or regarding bracket rules/regulations.
Also, does anyone know what the highest ACC and/or more specifically NCAA tournament seed FSU has earned?
