Everyone can appreciate the raw emotion that happens when a ton of hard work pays off.
For those who realize how many battles FSU fought against Auburn and specifically Trooper Taylor, this reaction after signing Ronald Darby is comedy gold.

Guess Trooper Taylor's no John Blake
2011 winner of the DocHoliday2 MS Paint/Photoshop Award. So I've got that going for me.
Favorite part of this video
Is D. Craig imitating Trooper Taylor.
That is classic.
Thanks for pointing that out. Made my night.
Can you elaborate a bit...
for us nubes not knowing Trooper Taylor’s mannerism…Thanks!
When Craig turns his hat backwards and twirls his hands
It’s a dead giveaway. Referring to Trooper’s towel waving.
What's 'ol Jimbo saying at the end there?
8th Grade?
A Freight?
"That's funny right there"?
Was wondering the same thing and that’s the best I could come up with.

It is on predictions
He told the ESPN reporter in the morning who he thought the Noles were going to get and he was right on all of them.
Wonder if his predictions included Dante flipping?
Lots of talk in the morning about it …
I'm sure Jimbo would rather have been 7 for 8
and kept Fowler.
^ THIS
How could he be 8 for 8 when Dante Flipped? Maybe 8 for 9. Oh well the big fish comes this afternoon around 1. Bring home the big one Mr. Winston! I just hope he stays with us and doesn’t sign with the MLB! I heard he may be a top 10 pick.
How about them Noles!

Haggins lost some lbs. on that celebration! This staff is killer on the trail. Hope we can keep em together as long as possible.

War declared by Jimbo on the state of Alabama?
Looks like he is tired of losing out on some Florida kids each year while keeping the peace and staying out of their hair.

On where kids would go
Goldman FSU
JHC Georgia
The liar to UF
Leonard USC
Tracy Miami
Darby to FSU
Nortrhup flipping
not sure what the 8th would have been. Maybe Christo not flipping
yeah, i got 7, too
i remember yesterday at one point on espn he said he was 6-for-6. so, chronologically, 8 would have been darby.
From this point forth
The recruit that flipped from us to UF on signing day 2012 shall be called “The liar”

I hate to be the one to bring it up, but how is what D.Fowler did, any different than what R.Nortrhup did?
I really can’t stand D.F. right now, so someone please convince what they did was completely different.
I doubt R.N. was playing games the way D.F. was, and there is now way he could have been the attention hound D.F. was. Can someone please, pretty please, confirm these things for me?
Before I can start to refer to D.F. as “The Liar”, I just need to know that I am not cheering on the same actions of another.

The big difference I think ...
Is that Northrup did not come out a week prior to say that he was 100% UM …
Prior to that, Nothrup & Dante were similar — committed to schools and openly looking elsewhere.
Perhaps the only other difference was the potential impact to the schools … Miami was taking 30+ kids and could actually offer/plan other kids if he flipped. FSU was working on such limited scholarships that it was much more difficult to work a backup plan.
Just a guess from actions by both parties...
But right after Northup met with FSU, Miami got commits from at least 1 other LB elsewhere. Seems that Northup made it known (verbally or non-verbally) that he was very interested in flipping. Northup didnt re-affirm his committment to Miami and didnt tell them to not take another LB at UM.

Because Fowler intentionally misled the coaches.
It was either a calculated effort to harm our recruiting and look like a hero to UF, or a plan to “shock the world” and bring more attention to himself for being “clever.” Either way, it was intentionally underhanded. This is one situation where it’s justified to say we dodged a bullet by not having such a kid on our team. I can understand better why his HS coaches kicked him off theirs.

Or someone was feeding lies to Fowler to make him not trust FSU’s coaches, and he in turn decided to double-cross them. He’s still wrong to do so, but in one scenario he is less culpable.
Because we're the good guys.

If you call him "the liar"
you should be able to avoid being banned for trashing a particular recruit in the future.
So Jimbo knew ahead of time on Fowler?

If he predicted Peat to Stanford
he really does have magical powers. I was shocked when he made the announcement. I don’t fault the kid, and love the reason he gave, but I was shocked nonetheless.
Colin Blake was the 8th, I think.
Or, it may have been Peat.
Dameyune Craig, but as the sportscaster cliche goes “he looks like he could play.”

You sure?
Seemed a tad small…
Who is the black guy sitting by Jimbo? (bottom of screen…).Dawsey?
Formerly known as Randall W. Spetman.
by CornNole on Feb 2, 2012 9:44 PM EST via mobile up reply actions
It was Dameyune Craig.
He turned his hat around and pretended to wave a towel to mock Auburn assistant coach Trooper Taylor. That’s even funnier considering Craig is a former Auburn QB (from the Pat Dye era). He looks small because he’s standing next to Odell Hagans. The coach at the bottom of the screen, next to Jimbo Fisher, is Lawrence Dawsey. He played here, but is from Dothan, Ala., so it may be that he had some impact on FSU’s recruiting efforts in Alabama.
Dawsey might help in bama
but Craig is a legend in his hometown and kills the recruiting trail
>>>─────;;─►
Ha, ha
He looks small because he’s standing next to Odell Hagans
No disrespect to Odell Hagans
He and Craig have probably slimmed down some since their playing days. But Craig is still wiry and Odell is still a load.

Love this staff and Odell
Don’t have any inside information, but it sure looks like they enjoy working together. And my wife and I have been big fans of Odell since his playing days (we used to say we were going to name our first born Odell), so I’m really happy to see him doing well after suffering through the lost decade. Good on Jimbo for recognizing that Odell was not part of the problem, and could be part of the solution.
Is the poster known as FSU actually Terry Saban? And why does TN not want you to know?

I'm with you re: Haggins in his playing days ...
He was one of my favorites back then …
Loved the “X” he put over his heads by crossing his arms when he made a big play.
I still remember Haggins blowing up a play at Auburn … it was a reverse … where he singlehandily caught the guy about 15 yards deep & then gave his signature “X” move (at least that is how my mind remembers it).
Loved him as a player … so glad to see he is killing it as a recruiter the last couple of years.
funny, about that same time I talked about naming my firstborn Peter Tom, but the wife wouldn't go for it ;)

I should add
That I also loved Lawrence Dawsey as a player. Not flashy, but a tough and reliable receiver.

They are saying Craig will prob get recruiter of the year
But you cant say enough about what Odell is doing for this team. Its unbelieveable. My fear is this staff will be raided after next years great season.
FSU last season when they killed it on the recruiting trail.

Ok guys off topic but ...........
Local radio station here near Clemson says we are not getting Winston. Since we don’t have a LOI yet signed says he is going to Standord. I know he says he is all Noles as of signing day what’s the deal????
by NOLEisticscience on Feb 2, 2012 10:38 PM EST via mobile up reply actions
Pretty certain that this is wishful thinking
On their part. Stanford is a great school and obviously you don’t just poo poo the notion of it, but most people are expecting him to sign with us where he’s been committed. It hasn’t been in his plans to sign on NSD for quite some time now.
He was not going to sign on signing day
That was known for a while, since he was in TX for the all-star game. He wants to announce with his family.
He did say he was “all Nole” on air and he made an on air push for Darby to come join him at FSU.
That said, could you fault him for taking a free ride to Stanford? I know I couldn’t.
That's what I told them but they put me on blast for saying that.

I absolutely couldn't
It would suck royally for us, but we aren’t being put in the position to choose lol. I’m still pretty sure he sticks by us though.
Oh I agree
I think he sticks, nothing he’s said over the last couple of days would suggest otherwise.
But if he did switch, I would have none of the venom that I have for “The Liar”.
Besides, getting him to sign his LOI for FSU is the first battle, then we have to face the real war.

Lived in Greenville County for 5 years
Kind of liked Clemson at the start. Can’t stand them now. I know several great fans and class acts, but he overall fan base is deluded. Must be the SC water. The “Cocks,” and I use that word pointedly, are worse.
Dogs bark in the night but the caravan moves on.
Winston's loss at the International Bowl,
will make him sign quickly and be done with it, to get to college and focus on sports and school.
Though I don't see the flip happening ...
If it does, it will make the Dante flip seem like nothing.
Winston has not been openly flirting with other schools, saying all the right things, recruiting folks to FSU, and THEN flipping a week after signing day? Unthinkable.
At least with Dante, folks saw it as a possibility and FSU had an hour to try and flip Williams back (though I don’t blame Williams for not flipping — someone that good shouldn’t have to be a backup plan anywhere).
lemme get this straight--
they think he’s going across the country, where his folks can’t see him play, so he can get a degree in criminology just because “it’s Stanford” although FSU has a better criminology program and he’s going to be making his living on the field of play and not with his degree anyway?
Riiiiight.

It's getting down right dangerous in the War Room on NSD
Jimbo will have to start wearing shells.
they made him sit in the corner for not locking down Peat
"We have to start over. We have to develop our own identity, our own chemistry, our own unity, our own vision of where we want to go...This is just the beginning. Because remember one thing – I tell you all the time: Boys do what they want to do. Champions do what they’ve got to do. " CJF
He was out buying

Pretty sure they speak English over there.
"Nothing like a tight one." -Heather Cox
The other responses are funny, but I'll give you the serious answer...
I had one of my laptops streaming the War Room video all day and I didn’t see him for much of the day, but there were several occasions where I did see him. Now there were a lot of people in there at times and they had most of the lights off, so it was difficult to tell who was who many times. I know for certain that in the afternoon he was there, sitting next to Jimbo with his feet kicked up.
