De'Asian Richardson Commits To Florida State Seminoles
De'Asian Richardson, a jumbo defensive end recruit from Orange Park (Fla.) High School, has committed to the Florida State Seminoles. With recent offers from Alabama, Duke, Louisville, Penn State, Mississippi, North and South Carolina, Richardson is one of the fastest-rising prospects in the country. 247sports is the only service to rate Richardson at this early juncture, and they give him a rating of four stars and call him a top-ten defensive end prospect.
Florida State has made it well known that it wants big defensive ends, and Richardson definitely fits the bill. At 6'4" and 270 pounds, many schools would attempt to move him to defensive tackle. And there is no doubt he will face negative recruiting and be told, falsely, that FSU intends to move him to the defensive tackle spot, just as schools falsely told Mario Edwards Jr. last season. But Edwards Jr. is slated to get lots of playing time as a freshman at end, and that should silence some of that negative recruiting.
Richardson is a tremendous athlete, as you can see from the film. He is a bit raw, but athletes with this combination of size athleticism are rare. He also plays tight end for his high school team. And while too big to play tight end in college, some even believe he can play offensive line. His offer from Duke also speaks well of his academic qualifications. He is the seventh commitment of the season for the Florida State Seminoles

2013 can't come soon enough!
De'Andre Johnson from First Coast committed?
Tyrell Lyons from FC did (2013), but I didn’t know anything about DJ and now see he’s the QB at FC.

Welcome to Bud's Hierarchy
Plus he is the Black Fortune Cookie so yeah….
What's up with Stevens? Did he commit too?

UF day is slightly better than ours but who cares
We got the black fortune cookie
2015, who ? There are 2 names up there.^ Deandre Johnson, Derwin James

Derwin James, ATH/Safety/potential LB? from Auburndale committed.
Hard to project where he’ll play, but must be pretty damn athletic to be committed at this point.
2013 can't come soon enough!
He is a stud. We were talking about him the other day. Probably would be a 4* right now even though he is age 15.
He doesn't burst to ball carriers like a senior would
but he is a sure tackler and I don’t see him staying at safety. Not unless he is a fan of hot yoga. He is our next SAM imo.
Bud, I know his head coach very well...this is a surprise for me...he looks like he is already on of the best players on the field at his age
"I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." Galatians 2:20
His coaching staffs roots...to other major football programs in Florida

Say hi to Timmy Jernigan.
We love the “I love this program, but I am about to dominate there” folks.
Hello new recruit, please meet the beastmode entity that is the Florida State University football coaching staff.
'Gentlemen, it is better to have died a small boy than to fumble this football.' John Heisman
They do play some tough competition there in the Polk County area and they aren't a great winning program...but this kid is incredible

I don't know what you know but you were right
does this even count as a decommittment?
Considering his age, size, tackling ability, and the fact that they have him at FS as a Freshman
SAM, if he puts on good weight he could be a CJ7 clone.
At 6'4" and 270 pounds, many schools would attempt to move him to defensive end.
Think you meant defensive tackle there. Welcome, De’Asian!
Was surprised
at his athleticism given his dimensions. Carries his weight very well and offers some pass rush ability

Looks like he has pretty good hands too.
Then again, who knows how many he dropped.

FSU - 7, UF - 10.
Weekend isn’t over. FSU making up ground this weekend.
2013 can't come soon enough!
And the takes make sense. Richardson is a stud. Lyons plays for first coast and should be a good one.
Stevens
I really like his film, I couldn’t believe he wasn’t rated at first.
That is why they should hire me... gasman extraordinaire.
Not only can I stalk you at gas stations, but I can analyze you too!
Um, this kid can play.
High 4-star at least.
Jimbo must have liked the opposition he saw everyday in practice in ’03:
DE – Marcus Spears 6’4, 295
DE – Marquise Hill 6’7, 295
2011 winner of the DocHoliday2 MS Paint/Photoshop Award. So I've got that going for me.
AT LEAST a high 4*. Potentially the 2nd-best DE for 2013.
Potentially.

Bud Is busy writing up our next committ
Tony Stevens! See what happens when you are the first to offer!
I know what Bud is doing before Bud brain knows what to do...
Jk I love what you are doing for us Nole Fans!
I just caught that as well
only 247 readers would know…
Grandma wants him to wait
he apparently called the staff back and decided not to commit.
Tomahawk Nation- Great FSU football and English lessons!
Grandma is probably pushing UF for their edumacation
C’s get degrees grandma!
really... last thing I want to see when I come to TN
is Travolta thrusting his hips. I am pretty sure a warning is in due for promoting homo images
De'Asian Richardson
Apparently, he is waiting, well at least we know that he is seriously considering us. At this point, we would have to be considered the front runners and that is not bad at this stage of the process.
That’s probably the case with most of these kids anyways. Commitments this early should really be considered “leaders” in a lot of cases just because there is so much time left and their are still so many offers going out.
On another note, I know you typically remember the negative ones but it seems like we have NO luck when it comes to parents/grandparents/guardians. We have kids that commit and their parents want them to wait/go else where like Richardson (if true) and Lynch and then theres the parents that openly want their kids coming here but the kid doesnt like Steward and Fowler.
dont believe Stewards parents wanted him away from FSU
IIRC it was his coach who “steered” him to clumpson
Think you might have risread it. Richardson and Lynch were committed here and “talked out of it” and then Steward and Fowler had parents that wanted their kids here but the kid went against parents.
good call my bad
drinking and reading isn’t my specialty
Damn, I thought that's what the whole "swag surfin" name was for..
Mike Martin should go coach Hawaii. Then he could have all the poi's he ever wanted - MattDNole

Very true
Like I said you generally remember the bad ones. I definitely remember Willie Jones being very verbal about wanting CJ7 to come here. I don’t really remember that from Mario though, maybe I’m just forgetting/missing it. Yes I know that Mario being a legacy was a huge part but just don’t remember Mario Sr being outspoken about wanting Jr. here. Don’t really remember CP7’s recruitment so I won’t comment on that. I guess you can throw Sexton in there as well even though Wyatt didn’t really pan out.
Although you can also add Deion to the “negative” list with the whole Noel Devine recruitment. That being said I think WVU was the best place for Noel to end up. Had the opportunity to meet Noel and see him work out when I was working at WVU. Watching him do agility drills was pretty crazy.
Completely agree. I don’t think he would have made it all four years at FSU from some of the stories I have heard from friends at WVU.Don’t know how true or not they are. Every interaction I had with him he was very polite and respectful.
What did you hear ...
that would suggest he would be unable to make it here all 4 years if he was very polite and respectful?
Just stories about him at parties and those type situations. I was interning on the athletic staff so my interactions were always around coaches/administrators and in a more controlled environment.
David Ponder.

I'm not so sure this Jimbo fella is the right man for the job.
Unfortunately he held back on his commitment, grandma said wait and his coach is a gator fan.
I hope we seal the deal because he is one heck of an athlete.
"His offer from Duke also speaks well of his academic qualifications"
additionally, the fact that he’s Asian can’t hurt
should never have a to many men on the feild penalty when he is on the feild
Easy math
A Seminole warrior killed in battle is a legend remembered. A Gator lost in battle becomes a pair of boots and a belt.
twitter of random stuff and tons of confessing FSU love Follow @caine115
F THE ACC ..|.. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Wearing that orange, he reminds me a bit of Bowers...similar build already in h.s. Kid looks huge for a junior.
Definitely want. Time for Jimbo to whisper sweet stuff in grandma’s ear.
