defintely noticed that too
love his energy on the field
Saw Peter Warrick play once. The rest is history...
Great Video
The play call at 3:25 is one of my favorites. I think Bert is lined up in the backfield or he might be in the slot tight. But the play action and then bringing him back across the formation it seems its always open for at least 7-10 yards. Great way to get a WR in space against a backside linebacker or safety.
A handful of players this year got to experience this thought run through their head:
“HOLY S*** WHERE DID 22 COME FROM?!”
His closing speed is ridiculous.

come on
You can’t be posting videos like this and expect anyone to accomplish anything! great job as usual.

LB Corps
Who will bring the disposition, attitude and craziness that #13 brought?
Telvin?
Christian?
I love a LB that has to be dragged off the field. Will we have one this fall?

no doubt.

ya but he isn't feared...
you got to have a guy that u know is probably clinically insane and would probably beat a dead horse. see Ray Lewis
Jeff Luc could kill someone
But I’m not sure if he’ll be the feared guy this year. In fact, I’m not sure we have a LB that would be feared as far as “inflicting pain” on an opponent. Definitely Joyner in the secondary and obviously Moody as a backup LB, but nobody I could think of beginning the year.

No way. reciever if anything
Hes big but not that big that hes going to be shedding as many blockers. And any move other then to WR takes his speed away. His speed and athleticism to make plays as a DB or a WR are some of his better attribute which would be lost at LB which is just not his position at all
Aguyo will play it though.

LOS @ LB
a) Most safeties already have the disposition (fear factor) we are talking about.
b) He is not finished growing.
c) Who better to mentor than your older brother?
d) Speed kills, and Los would be the sideline to sideline monster that would project the “fear” discussed earlier.
I know there are many on this site who’d love to see him on the other side of the ball, but I feel we are set over there @ the skill positions.
Is it crazy to think Los could be that guy @ LB?

Who do you think Los would play ahead of the next two years?
Christian Jones, Jeff Luc, Telvin Smith, Nick Moody, or Vince Williams?
Also, he would need to add about 20-25lbs to play linebacker.

Well, considering the way we rotate....I'm not sure he'd play "ahead" of anybody.
In our 4-3 last year, there were four LB’s that all saw significant action.
As for his size, he is listed at 6’2 227.
Telvin – 6’3 209
Vince – 6’1 245
Jones – 6’4 236
Moody – 6’2 226
Luc – 6’0 246
So he’s the same size as Moody and bigger than Telvin…..and not finished growing.

He's also never played linebacker before.
Moody and Telvin have. You expect he would come in this year and be able to contribute at LB??? Because moving to a position he’s never played before is nothing like moving to RB or WR. It would also render him a complete waste his first two years at FSU with a slight chance to be able to both pick up the scheme and then overtake others to play as a Junior, and then be special for only his Senior year.
That’s not how i envisioned the #1 recruit in the country playing out his career…

Okay, well I'm hoping he gets on the field one way or the other.

Definitely agree with you there
Gotta have him on the field, just don’t know if he will be able to overtake Terrence Brooks at the spot opposite Joyner.
My ideal (yet realistic) scenario is that the light clicks on for Karlos this spring and fall and he starts at the SS position (FS in Stoops scheme), allowing Brooks to be our nickel corner and spell both Joyner and Los at the safety spots.
Think like this for the starters:
NT – JMac or Dawkins
DT – Jernigan or McAllister
SDE – Werner
WDE – Jenkins
WLB – CJ7
MLB – V.Williams or Telvin
SLB – Luc or Telvin?
CB – Rhodes
CB – Reid
SS – Joyner
FS – Brooks or Karlos
Nickel – Brooks
This looks very solid. My only concern is Jeff Luc. Will he be solid for us? Because if not he is the weakest link with very little depth behind him (Moody?). He hasn’t had extensive playing time, but will be a Junior and should have everything down as far as reads and playbook.
Hopefully he is not a problem, because this defense should be very, very dominant.

What 3 star LB recruit do we have?

Is it a reason to worry that we are still arguing about the way FSU can use Los?
The man must start playing soon. He was and still is a solid 5*.
Who do you think is to blame here, Bud?
Just out of curiosity because I really don’t understand, but is it Karlos? The coaching staff? A loaded depth chart? A mix of all three? Would love some better insight into the situation because it’s going to drive me nuts if that talent gets wasted.
Right now Los
Coaches gave him a chance to show instincts at safety and I don’t think he will ever. Los shot down move to offense and the coaches really wanted to make that move.

Really?
I know the move to O was being considered but never read anything that said it was his decision to ultimately stay on D. Where did you get that info? Not questioning your credibility but I’m always on this site and don’t remember readingthat.
That was what was floated down from a couple guys close with the staff.

My photo appeared in the Nightlife photo collage of the FSView for six weeks in-a-row. That’s who I am.
I'm not a fan of mainstream rap like that,
but it’s a typical, catchy, upbeat, happy pop song. The chorus is annoying though.

I'm not a fan
of rap in general any more. Can’t really relate to having all these hoes and $$$ out the wazoo.
if you like the sampling/riff, Pretty Lights did the original pretty much
he does other stuff with awesome mixing but no lyrics. also, all his music is free on his website.
Everybody relax, I'm here.

I’ve been listening to the first half of his song “Hot Like Sauce” non stop for like the last three days.

It does not appear K. Williams is switching to offense...
So the default assumption has to be safety and special teams. Of course with his speed, corner might be an option and would be an easier learning curve than linebacker.
I once sought to be above reproach, then I discovered being beneath contempt was much less work

He doesn't have the agility to play CB imo
He’s straight-line speed guy. He would envelop some receiver though. Honestly his physique and talents are perfect for safety on defense, or WR on offense. He just needs to have the light click on.

That Tim Jernigan sack somewhere in the 2min area is just nasty.
Great camera angle. He explodes through the block and looks like a predator on the hunt.
James Wilder's short little run at the end there
man if we can just get that kid to find the hole! (twss is so played out )
Can't wait to see the growth of Jernigan these next two years
Its hard to believe that he’s only a sophomore
Actually
He’s still a Freshman for another couple months :-)

A lot of people, myself included,
consider a play in the spring what class they will be the next season. Beatty and Jernigan are both technically freshman but I think of Cason as a freshman and Timmy as a sophomore.

Kenny Shaw is such a badass
Btw I think he and Telvin may be the same person. The jersey gets switched behind the towels held up for playcalling
I love that the Smiley TD was shown.
Warms the heart.
