FSU baseball lost to Florida last night, 6-3. That's a sweep for the Gators over a 'Noles team that despite its No. 1 ranking, isn't elite. But there's plenty to be excited about.

Folks have been asking for an update on Jeff Luc. There is no new update. I still expect Luc to transfer, just as I wrote two weeks ago. Florida State will practice today and once more before playing the spring game on Saturday at 4 p.m.

FSU has offered Tampa Plant offensive lineman Richy Klepal. I think he is a guard, unless he keeps growing. Three/four-star recruit. FSU is looking to take at least four offensive linemen this year.

We've said for a while that Maquedius Bain probably shouldn't be considered a commitment. He continues to flirt with Miami, named Miami his leader, and has made at least four trips to Coral Gables. It would not surprise me to see him flip to the 'Canes. Of course, Miami won't stay hot in the recruiting game after the upcoming season and the NCAA stuff. But for now, Miami can sell tradition, etc.

List of former players expected to attend 2012 spring game - Florida State University
Not only does Florida State's annual spring game give current players the opportunity to show off their hard work during the spring for the fans, it all gives former players the chance to reunite in Tallahassee.

Here are some highlights of FSU commitment Deadrin Senat. I am a big fan of Senat, because I consider him to be a bit of a sure thing. He's not a guy with unlimited potential that makes you wonder if he will ever realize it. Instead, you know what you're getting with Senat.

And here are some of 2014 FSU commitment J.C. Jackson, who I can now do a proper evaluation of. Look for that next week.
