Infographic: FSU's free throw shooting
Prior to hiring shooting guru Andy Enfield to the coaching staff, FSU was a poor free throw shooting team. In Leonard Hamilton's first four seasons the team was ranked 225th, 163rd, 224th, and 135th in the nation. Then Enfield was added to staff. Coach Enfield had a private consulting business where he fixed the shooting mechanics of NBA players - and so fans were excited about improved shooting. And the improvement was immediate. Over the next three seasons FSU was ranked 10th, 5th and 57th nationally in free throw %. Andy Enfield was a genius. And then came 2010. FSU ranked 302nd. Fans wondered what the hell happened?
