Ira Denson, a fast rising offensive line recruit, has committed to the Florida State Seminoles according to TDO's Jim Lamar and Ira Schoefel, and as tweeted previously by Florida State defensive tackle Jacobbi McDaniel, who also played at Madison (Fla.) County High School. Denson was first discovered on a large scale at the Orlando Nike Football Training Camp (NFTC) in April, where he wowed observers by stoning Florida Gator defensive tackle commitment Caleb Brantley. Denson is rated four stars by 247sports and Rivals, while Scout tags him as a three star and ESPN is yet to evaluate Denson.

Denson picked up offers from Florida State, and South Carolina in recent weeks, and Georgia is expected to offer soon.

At 6'4" and 320 pounds, Denson shows excellent power and punch. He needs to continue to reshape his body, as he did during the off-season. That should enable him to be quicker, particularly laterally.

Denson is Florida State's 10th commitment of the 2013 class.
