Joseph Yearby
Joseph Yearby, one of the top running back recruits in Florida for the class of 2014, has committed to the Florida State Seminoles per Josh Newberg, who visited Yearby's high school Tuesday. Yearby stars for Miami (Fla.) Central High School, the same school that sent Devonta Freeman to Tallahassee in the class of 2011. Yearby is yet to receive any star rating because he doesn't graduate from high school for another 26 months, but he projects as a solid four-star type recruit.
Yearby stands 5'9" and weighs in at 190 pounds. He won the running back MVP at the Miami NFTC event, and was one of the best backs in the state during the 2011 season. Yearby runs very hard, has good moves, athleticism, etc. He's not huge, but may not be done growing, either. He catches the ball well and has a good feel for the game with excellent balance and vision.
Yearby joins receiver J.C. Jackson of Immokalee (Fla.) High as commitments in the class of 2014. Both project as some of the top players at their position both in the state and nationally.
