Final analysis: This is a difficult schedule, even for a preseason top 10 team. The odds of Florida State making it through its ACC road slate unscathed seem slim. Still, it will be a definite advantage to play Clemson at home and the Noles should be 3-0 heading into that game. Florida State should be a much better team than Miami this year, but playing their rival on the road will bring out the best in the Canes, and anything can happen. If Florida State can stay healthy, though, (unlike last year), they could be undefeated heading into Blacksburg. Unlike the Hokies, Florida State will have a bye week to prepare for that Thursday night game. On paper, Florida State should be favored against every team it will line up against this year. In the ever-unpredictable ACC, though, don’t be surprised if Wake Forest or NC State ruins the Noles’ plans this year.
