Florida State has offered defensive end D'Angelo Reynolds according to him via text.
— Quick facts about Reynolds because I am out and typing on my phone. -Plays for Miami Northwestern, was at Pace HS for the first 3 years. Left because his hoops coach left. -Has never played a down of HS football. Hoops player. -6'6" 250. Room for ~280 easily. Jumped 42" for FSU's coaches today and also ran a 4.8 after a 2.5-hour practice. I witnessed the 40 and he told me about the vertical. His speed was very good once he got going, but his start and getoff were awful. He clearly has not been coached on this stuff (as you'd expect, since he has never played before). -He is extremely raw, but also quite athletic. -Very smart guy (3.9 GPA unweighted, 4.7 weighted), and very easy to talk to. -Seemed to take to the coaching very well. Long arms. -He really likes FSU, and without prompting or before I could even ask him a question he told me if he gets his offer he will commit on the spot. He confirmed this in a text a bit ago, and is going to talk w/ his family, I imagine. I do not know if FSU will take his commitment at this time, because they have zero film on him. I did a long (6 minute) interview with Reynolds which I'll write up tonight. I expect I may also be following it up with a commitment story if FSU's coaches accept his commitment. Bummed out that I can't transcribe it right now, but again, I'm writing this from my phone. I also have video of him in drills and running the 40. Look for that tonight.
