— Florida State lost last night to Arizona, 4-3 in 12 innings. Multiple errors and misplays by FSU shortstop Justin Gonzalez and cold Florida State bats were the difference. Oh, and FSU pulled its best starter after 4.1 innings, which didn't make a lot of sense given that the 'Noles needed him to go long if they were to have a successful tournament, due to the lack of quality pitching depth that has existed all season. This probably did not cost Florida State the game, but we would be remiss not to discuss decisions impacting tournament play. FSU must now come from the loser's bracket. That will be exceptionally tough, but not impossible.
