Recruiting has pretty much evolved into a spectacle in the past decade. Signing day is anticipated due to the inactiveness and longevity of the college football offseason. Our Noles have a chance to put a real solid 2013 recruiting class together but there are still many holes to fill. I expect FSU to sign between 22-25 players, dependent on what players leave after the 2012 season. FSU currently has 12 players committed, 6 of whom find themselves in the ESPNU 150.These players are DT Maquedius Bain, RB Ryan Green, OT Austin Golson, WR Tony Stevens, OLB Ro'Derrick Hoskins, OG Ira Denson, ILB E.J. Levenberry Jr, OLB Tyrell Lyons, CB Sojourn Shelton, CB Michael Johnson, CB Marquez White and WR Jesus Wilson. All of these players are rated 4 stars by ESPN with the exception of Wilson who is a highly rated 3 star prospect (most likely due to his size). FSU has offered a total of 54 uncommitted prospects to date, and I believe the following will commit to the Noles: 4 star DT Montravius Adams, 4 star OLB Matthew Thomas, 4 star CB Kendall Fuller, 4 star ATH Alvin Bailey, 4 star CB Artie Burns, 4 star DE Stacy Thomas, 4 star WR Dominic Walker, 4 star OLB Freddie Stevenson, 4 star DE Davin Bellamy, 4 star ILB Michael Deeb, 3 star CB Rashard Robinson, 3 star OT Denver Kirkland and 3 star OG Austin Droogsma. This class should be a top 5-7 class, but if most of these prospects were landed don't be shocked to see FSU around 3-4 of ESPN's rankings come February.
