Games 3 and 4 featured 3 SEC teams and another cinderella in Kent State. Kent was overmatched by Arkansas' pitching and could never get any momentum going. The Razorbacks played well and finished the game quickly with a 8-1 victory.
The matchup all of Omaha was buzzing for was between the back-to-back defending champs South Carolina and the Florida Gators. This was a rematch of last years championship game and featured two of the top national seeds playing. Florida jumped ahead early on a rare defensive mistake by the South Carolina left fielder. The Gamecock defense was stout and provided big play one right after the other for a fielding highlight reel during the game. The biggest play of the game was a diving catch made by the center fielder to shut down a Florida team that finally found some late inning bats. This game really lived up to the hype and South Carolina out pitched, out batted, and out played the Gators in every inning, but the first. South Carolina cruised to the victory and will face Arkansas at 9pm Monday.
Kent State will meet the Gators and by all predictions get destroyed by a stronger team in the earlier 5pm elimination matchup.
