As much as I've dreamed about it for years, I never see FSU getting an invite to the SEC. I always thought it was the only other viable conference option. However, with the potential upgrades to the Big XII, if the SEC has always been option "A," the new Big XII v 2.0 might be strong enough to be considered "A1."
If this is true, I'm now curious what most FSU fans would prefer? Hypothetically speaking, becuase I don't see the SEC ever making an offer.
::::
The case for the SEC - Weekly marquee matchups, more $, etc... pretty obvious
The case for the Big XII, v 2.0 - The money would probably be somwehat comparable to the SEC. Increased competition week in and week out, annual national matchups, a Big XII CG in Dallas, a football focused conference, and increased home ticket sales (all unlike our current situation in the ACC). BUT you would NOT have the weekly SEC gauntlet in the Big XII which greatly increases the chance to get back to the NC. (Further Big XII expansion, including ND, not considered)
Poll
Would you rather have "A" - The SEC with the $ and the weekly marquee matchups? Or "A1" - The new Big XII with an easier path to the NC? (Further Big XII expansion, including ND, not considered)
