Projected AP Polling

So its that slow time of the year where summer camps and recruiting drama are all we have to talk about. Except this year we also have the added drama of the new 4 Team Playoff system and Conference/Network Re-alignment. While waiting for the comments to come in on our boards this morning, I was reading about some projections for the AP polling on that skank of a blog bleacherreport (here). Here's how it pretty much broke down:

SEC- 7 Teams (4 top 10)

25. Auburn University

21. gayturds

11. University of South Carolina

8. Arkansas

5. University of Georgia

3. Alabama

2. LSU

BIG 12- 6 Teams (2 top 10)

23. Kansas State University

22. Oklahoma State University

17. TCU

12. University of Texas

10. West Virginia

4. University of Oklahoma

BIG 10- 5 teams (1 top 10)

16. University of Nebraska

15. Wisconsin

14. Michigan State

13. Ohio State

9. Michigan

PAC 12- 3 teams (2 top 10)

19. Stanford

6. Oregon

1. USC

ACC- 3 teams (1 top 10)

24. VaTech

18. Clempson

7. Florida State

Indy's- 1 team (0 top 10)

20. Notre Dame

Now I don't want to start a debate about who deserves to be where and at what ranking. What I want is to start a conversation based on this data as to why its important to make the jump to the Big 12 soon to stay relevant in big time College Football. If you look at the teams on this list, FSU, Clemson and VaTech are the ACC's three representatives. Notre Dame is the independant. It's pretty solid thinking that all these teams are about to make a move within the next three years (not to be confused with already written in stone). Based on this assumption and how it seems to be the majority opinion that the path to the National Championship will be much easier by way of one of the Big 4, where do we have any option other than re-alignment to stay a major player?
