Update 07/03 12:45 PM
Baker again took to Twitter today. It appears he is not willing to wait.
I guess I had a non-committable offer but hey that's life nothing i can do about it. But to the people who doubted me I still got 30 schools

If Baker still wants in, I think FSU might take him at a later date. It's an unfortunate situation. It doesn't appear that he is as high on FSU's board as some might believe.
Original Story: Adrian Baker, a cornerback recruit, claimed tonight that he has committed to the Florida State Seminoles. Baker stars for Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna Prep. Baker is a consensus three-star recruit, though ESPN does award him four stars.
Baker also claims offers from Clemson, Oklahoma and Vanderbilt.
I use the word "claims" here, because this situation is tricky. Some reading between the lines is required.
Baker has an "offer" from the 'Noles, but the commonly accepted belief among recruiting analysts is that he is further down on Florida State's board than some other cornerbacks. Additionally, Sojourn Shelton is still an FSU commitment as of this time, and he may or may not stick in the class. There are many factors in play here.
Officially a FSU committ #GoNoles

Some of the coaching staff, including Jimbo Fisher, is on vacation. Fisher must approve all commitments before they become official. For some kids, like superstars, Fisher has clearly pre-approved them. For others, he has obviously not. It doesn't sound like Baker is one of the kids previously approved by Fisher.
Recruiting is complicated, and the NCAA pushing back the date at which written offers may be extended only makes it more so. Verbal offers are thrown out at a ridiculous pace, and things aren't clear.
Baker told Tom Loy of Noles247 that he communicated his desire to be a 'Nole to coach Eddie Gran, and that coach Gran, Baker's area recruiter, told him he'd need to talk to Fisher when Jimbo returns Wednesday.
Will FSU take Baker's commitment when he talks with Fisher on Wednesday? I'm not sure. We'll just have to wait and see.
