Out here at The Opening along with SB Nation's Wescott Eberts and Paul Wadlington, and wanted to drop some notes on the performance of Florida State's guys in the early going of today's 7-on and linemen challenge.
- Ira Denson, Florida State's guard commitment, is crazily wide and thick. His ability to anchor as a guard means that he can focus his efforts on running his man to the outside. Nobody has been able to bullrush Denson today.
- FSU offensive tackle recruit Austin Golson did not blow me away, but did not get embarrassed, either.
- Receiver commitment Tony Stevens got himself open a few times in the early game, but had two major drops. Sample set, etc. goes here.
- Receiver recruit Isaiah Jones was not targeted much in the early loss to Team Land Sharks.
- Vernon Hargreaves sprained his ankle yesterday and is not participating today.
Photos and video to follow tonight.
