Some news and notes on Florida State football for you.
-Timmy Jernigan Watch 2012: Grades are out today for many students. We should probably know about Timmy Jernigan's status when
we speak with Jimbo Fisher after the 3:30 practice. Oops, Fisher is not speaking to the media today. I misread the email. Apologies. I am extremely confident that Jernigan will be eligible. Extremely. Still, we await official word from the school. Jernigan is a kid that everyone should be rooting for. He's had a difficult offseason with many things beyond his control dragging him down.
Dan Hicks was on crutches and in a knee brace at the evening practice Tuesday. You hate to see this, as Hicks, being a team player, switched from defensive end to tight end. No word on the injury. This makes the addition of Penn State tight end Kevin Haplea all the more important.

@manny_navarro Never a good sign there.
Jeff Driskel injured his non-throwing shoulder over the weekend. Will Muschamp didn't mention the injury when asked about new injuries. Word leaked out. Speculation ran wild, ranging from a broken scapula to a minor bruise. Reporters grabbed quotes from both Driskel's mother and father, because the handling of the information by the school's sports info department was so horrible. Driskel is apparently now fine.
