If you were going to be FSU's 2013 starting QB, how happy would you be with what you have to work with on O? Think about it. Trickett, Coker, Winston, or Maguire will have everything they could possible want to lead our Noles to touchdown after touchdown after touchdown. The preseason hype surrounding FSU's offense will be similar to what you hear about USCs, 2012 O, minus the 4 yr starting QB. Here is how I see it.
Offensive Line: I would not be surprised if its one of the best OLs in FSU history. Personally, I'm extremely high on all of 2012's OL starters. I'm 100% positive that by 2013 they will have the coaching and experience to go with their potential, and make them among the nation's best OLs.
Wide Receivers: Every analyst out there considers our WR unit to be one of the best and deepest in the nation. Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't we only lose Smith? Give these kids 1 more year to improve and I think they too could be one of the best WR units in FSU history. Don't forget that our TEs will be hitting their stride as well.
Running Backs: This is an area where I believe we will still be lacking experienced depth...just like USC. Losing Thompson will hurt, but by 2013 Wilder and Freeman will be Thunder and Lightening. Pender will get 0 snaps in 2012 and will be significant'y behind those 2. I'm sure our true freshmen will be talented, but we all know they won't be close to being as reliable with their blocks to take significant snaps from Wilder and Freeman when healthy.
Everything taken into consideration, I'm not sure a 1st year starting QB could ask for much more. What's scary is that in 2014 our QB will have a considerable amount of the 2012 & 2013 starters coming back again, but with a better RB situation.
