I've received a lot of questions about Menelik Watson, Florida State's starting right tackle who was reportedly injured during the closed portion of Tuesday's practice. The report from Rick Ballou of Jacksonville, who apparently has a trainer or someone willing to talk very frequently.
Menalik Watson carted off field today w an ankle or foot. Returned was limping and didn't finish practice. Glauser #1RT. #FSU #Seminoles

For the record, I do believe Ballou's report, but wonder if it might be a knee and not a foot/ankle. It it were an ankle, FSU would have put a book on him in all likelihood, as FSU puts boots on everyone. Update: one eye-witness does have him spotted today on campus in a boot.

Unfortunately, Florida State's Wednesday practice is closed to the media, which means that we will not get a chance to ask Jimbo Fisher about the injury until Thursday. However, you can ask Fisher about Watson during his call-in show tonight at 7 p.m. (we'll have the link posted around 6:30 here).
With Clemson on deck, if there is any question about playing Watson, expect him to sit v. Wake Forest, over whom the Seminoles are 28-point favorites.
If Watson cannot go, expect Daniel Glauser to play right tackle against the Demon Deacons.
