This is not a power poll. I don't attempt to rank teams based on how good I think they are. I only rank teams based on their resume. What have they done? Not how talented are their players or what other polls project them to do, but what have they done? The poll is designed to be dynamic. I try to start from scratch every week.

Notes: Still not a lot separating many of the teams. At least we are starting to get a better picture. The top six could have cases made to be shuffled. FSU took a big jump after beating a very good Clemson team. The Irish keep winning with defense. How long will they last? If they keep winning with their schedule, they'll stay ranked high. Oklahoma dropped out after losing a tough game to highly ranked Kansas State. Problem for the Sooners, they now have that loss and wins over UTEP and FAMU. Oregon State finds itself at 14 despite only playing two games. LSU doesn't earn a lot after beating a now 1-3 Auburn team by 2. Oregon blasted a good Arizona team 49-0 and took a big jump. What about Florida State specifically? Too high? Too low?
