FSU looks to avoid the letdown as the Seminoles travel to Tampa and take on USF.
Florida State travels to Tampa for their first road game of the 2012 season. The 'Noles have reeled off 4 straight wins, culminating with an exciting comeback against division rival Clemson. Tampa, while technically a road game, should have many 'Nole fans on hand providing a reasonably friendly environment.
This has the makings of a letdown game for the 'Noles. An emotional roller coaster followed by the first road trip might raise some red flags. However, USF has struggled with run defense. Against FBS teams, the Bulls rank 79th in YPC rush defense. That's good news for the 'Noles . They rank 2nd in the country in YPC against FBS teams at almost 8 yards a touch. The 'Noles need to play to their strengths, try to get up early, and avoid injuries. As long as the 'Noles don't have a mental collapse, they should get out of Tampa in good shape.
Not much in the way of exciting match-ups today. But football is always worth watching and you never know which game will be 'the one.' Right Stanford?
