Florida State Ranked 6th In AP Poll

Stay connected for news and updates

Following its 69-3 win over the Murray State racers, Florida State moved up a spot from its place in the preseason AP poll. The 'Noles now rank sixth.

Alabama is the new No. 1 following the Tide's domination of the Michigan Wolverines. USC dropped to No. 2, followed by LSU, Oregon and Oklahoma.

Following the Seminoles are the Georgia Bulldogs, who struggled a bit early with the Buffalo Bulls. Arkansas is eight, and South Carolina and West Virginia are in a tie for ninth, despite two markedly different performances in their opening games (granted, the level of opponent was much different as well).

With USC facing Oregon and LSU facing Alabama later in the season, FSU will definitely continue to move up in the polls if it can keep winning.

But that won't be a cakewalk, as FSU mist still play three ranked teams in Clemson (No. 12), Virginia Tech (No. 15) and Florida (No. 24)
