Meet Will Burnham. He is a walk-on RB and I hope he gets carries against Savannah State.
Welcome to college football, week 2. Florida State hosts Savannah State in a game that should feature few surprises. Savannah State is simply outmatched. So outmatched that FSU might manage this game with public perception in mind. The most important goal is to get in some reps for the starters and finish the game healthy. We should see plenty of snaps taken by not only 3rd string players but also the walk-ons. They practice hard and deserve reps in a game like this. This is the last gimme game for the 'Noles as they open conference play against Wake Forest the following week.
While there aren't many great match-ups this Saturday, the schedule offers plenty of ACC opponent scouting. Miami is on the road for the second week in a row to take on Kansas State. Miami showed some offense against Boston College but their defense struggled, to say the least. N.C. State had a disappointing opener against Tennessee. Can they recover from last weeks loss to beat Big East opponent Uconn?
More ACC action in the afternoon slot with North Carolina facing Wake Forest. Certainly a game to watch as FSU hosts Wake next week. Also worth checking out Florida welcome Texas A&M to the SEC.
